I'd return his WSM compatible rings and tell him he needs to reimburse you for the cost of the Wiseco rings.

Anything past that is money you chose to spend on your own free will. You could have had the worst pistons available, but instead you ended up with some nice Wiseco's so that helps.

I agree he should refund you the ring price, especially because he made you pay more for new ones in the kit....

make sure to check the piston clearence as the recomendations might be different for wsm and weisco. I know there is a difference between pro-x and weisco...
but I have never used the wsm

the last thing you want is a seized piston too...

That really seems to be the consensus here. I'd be happy with the correct rings. Everything else was minor and worth overlooking in my book.

Good thinking about the clearance. Luckily I already checked that after I discovered they were Wisecos. Clearance is at .006" which I believe is specs for these pistons.
