Installing new nose cone

Hi
My nose cone on my 07 sxr is beaten up so i bought a new one. Im just wondering how and what is the best way to remove the rivets and what kind of rivets should i buy to replace them. I dont have a rivit gun so im going to borrow one.

I knoticed that i have to take off the black bumper thing on the front to get the the rest of the rivets on the nose cone. I see that the black bumper is siliconed down as well as rivets. Is the silicone necessary?

Just drill out the rivets and use stainless machine screws with a nut and i wouldnt worry about the silicone

Thanks for the info. I Drilled out the holes tonght. now i just have to find the right legnth bolts.

I just installed mine using aluminum rivets from Ace Hardware. Had hit may rocks, etc and still is there with no issues.
