Got water in my SN Hull and now the plugs look milky

ok i admit to not having a water tight hood cowling. But i fell over the other day got some water in the hull and lost power in my 90 SN. So i replaced the NGK B8HS plugs and rode till this last weekend. Did it again so this time I carefully examined the plugs when I removed them and they looked like they had chocolate milk on them?? Whats the propper procedure when water gets in the engine compartment but not really that deep just over the drive shaft. and why is this fowling plugs??

if you have water over the drive shaft you'll have water in the motor. That is a lot of water. it'll splash around and end up going down the carb, especially if the ski ever gets on it's side.

If the ski still runs, ride it around hard for 10-15 min. without getting any more water in it and the motor should be fine.

install some bilge pumps and a new hood seal.

Is your stock bilge functioning? Like demon said, that should all work its way out pretty easily. You aren't the first person to fall off and get some water in the hull. It shouldn't cause that much of a headache though. Anyone know how he can check that stock bilge?

if it's there and hooked up to the reduction nozzle it works. I suppose it could be clogged.

All stock bilges suck. You could take the lines off and blow water through them to make sure the lines are clear. Then you could pull the actual bilge filter out and clean any debris that may be stuck in there. Good luck get a duck bill or a scupper

Stock bilge does work. sucks but works. So today installed new 600gph bilge. Took plugs out cranked the motor over no water. took it to the river it ran fine and hard for hrs. those motors are tuff!!
