Spark plug boot for a 701

I ripped one of my boots yesterday, can you go with a aftermarket boot for yamahas? I priced them on a oem online webpage and they were $40 a piece....

I didnt know that. I'll see what autozone has tomorrow. Thanks bk.

I have never had luck at the Box Stores (Autozone, Advance, Orielly's). Everything they sell comes in a Box, a Kit. Rarely do they sell individual parts.

NAPA does sell individual parts. That is why I only mentioned NAPA.

Your right bk, autozone didnt have one. I didnt have a chance to go to a napa or oriellys, but I went to the local guy and he has a universal 90 degree cap that kinda looks similar to the ngk one, it will be in tomorrow. I think its for mowers. Its like a dollar. I think im on the same page as you mouth and mark, I could go with the msd wires but I need a quick fix.

the last time I bought one at Autozone was a long time ago ( few years maybe)

and I bought a single plug wire for a GM I think, had a plug boot on each end.

I just removed the ends, and reused them, they are only crimped, so it was easy.

I dont have any fancy crimping tools either, I use Vice grips. ( im sure the tool would be easier!)
