they use them for cars as well...they even have fender and bumper mounts

yes you can def use them as a dash muont or even a bumper mount. the motorsport kit come with all mounts u need

hows the sound on a go pro? Im thinking about getting one but id like it to have decent sound recording so i could use it on my car aswell. It just seems every video i see it put to music so i can never tell

sound is actually very good. i has different modes for what you are recording.
