OEM Fuel & Vent Line

I need to plumb up my new carbs and will not have enough OEM line to do this. I really do not want to go with the clear colored stuff for my fuel. When I removed my water seperator, I was left with a few feet of "Vent" tube. Is this stuff the same as the OEM fuel line? It is of a different color and seems more plyable. I need some to run my pulse lines too and don't wan't them collapsing under vacuum.

I may have answered my own question but I would really like to stick with OEM line here.

Also, does anyone know where to get those stainless Tee's that have the swept leg? (check the pic)

Thanks

I bought a bunch off eBay a year or two ago.....

They are made for soft drink machines or something.... I think.... Good luck!

I think #.0 did as well try looking for some of his posts.

The two line types are different I would just order up 3/16 ID tygon from McMaster Carr. I think #0 found that fitting in McMaster I would PM him.

I found his post again and PM'd him. I did remember seeing them at McMaster but they were like $20.00 a pop on their site. I bought some of the anodized alloy tee's from McMaster but the .170 seems way too small for the lines. I should have bought the 1/4" ones.

Thanks, I just got it from #0. The only thing is link you listed is for 3/8" and is in stock, the 1/4" are "Sold Out".

I don't know what to do, I like the anodized ones I bought from McMaster but they seem really loose in the OEM line and the ID seems tiny. I am afraid if I trade them out for the 1/4 they will be too big.

ok, you didnt state what size you needed. but they sell both sizes.
I ordered a whole bunch different sizes and if I have a 1/4" one I will let you know and mail you one. If I forget please PM me. I get busy working on my house after work.

Measure your ID of the OEM fuel line, it is smaller than a 1/4". 3/16" fuel line fits the carbs much better than 1/4"

The 3/16 tygon will go over the 1/4 barb also.

Sorry about not stating the size needed. I will see what going on tonight. I just finished intalling my cylinder, head, manifolds, etc and will have the motor back in the hull after I 5200 the bulkhead. Once I get the engine in I will see how much line I have to work with and if my aluminium Tee's will work. Thanks for the offers, I will let you guys know tomorrow.

Alright, I was test fitting the McMaster Carr Tee with the stretched end of the OEM line. It was alreadly enlarged by the carb nipple. The Tee fits alright when inserted in a fresh cut portion. If I went up to a 1/4" Tee it would be a real pain to remove. I will run these and scrounge up some crusty OEM line since I used my slack return line to run new pulse lines.
