Confused Whats The Correct Colour On A 09 SuperJet

Why i am confused has anyone else noticed the the hood on the 08 -09 is more purple that the body and the pole.

The Pole and the body of the ski are more blue and the hood is more purple but out in normal sunlight hard to tell but under lights you can spot the difference.

Did searches and so on we are really confused on the corrrect colour on a 09 SuperJet. Found this with Color Rite but its more purple so iam guessing it the hood colour not the body has anyone else had these issue before.

I need to paint my Blowsion Lower Hood.

I know the hood and nose piece are painted while the rest of the top deck & handle pole are gelcoat. I am sure there is some color variation between paints and gelcoats?

yup.... don't even try to match any Yamaha paints... it's very very difficult and you can only get the paint from one company and I forgot the name right now...

they sold the paint codes to Color Rite and they now own those codes... To get them you will pay stupid prices for a quart.

I had a local shop use color matching computer generated code that ended up being almost identical to the hull and pole.

Thats the next step rang Yamaha head office they had no idea what the colour was what good are they you buy a new ski lets say you scrach it it happens they can t even help you whats the big deal in hiding what the colour code is.

it's all about money.... Yamaha sell the code and a company buys it... You can't even get the code, just the mixed paint..

Steve has the best way to do it... hand match it

Absolutely right steve I got my aftermarket hood and pole and took it to a friend of mine at a body shop, he took a picture of the stock pole and got a paint code and painted my hood, nose piece and x metal pole, turned out great, i would say better than factory. Take a look at my ski buildups, there i have pictures of my ski.
