Full Spec carb question

I was getting ready to put my Full Spec on my motor, and noticed the fuel fittings are probably going to hit my filter. Do these press in or screw in? I'd like to have them both point toward the pump side.

They're pressed in and glued.

I use vise grips with a slide hammer attached to the back and pull them out.

Don't twist them because you'll strip the groove marks on the brass fittings.

So I can pull them out, and press them back in at a different angle? What type of glue?

It appears clear like superglue and chips off with a razor blade.

Before pressing them back in, a light coat of superglue or JB-weld on the brass fitting will help keep them in place.

The Full Spec is staying. I'm sure a Blackjack carb would work too.

Does anybody sell the fuel line fittings? I'd rather put straight ones in there if I'm gonna pull them out. I checked Atlantic jetsports and Watcon. They're not listed as a separate part for OEM.

I gotta get a smaller slide hammer now. The one I have is huge.

Use the big slide hammer because it takes quite a bit of force to get these things out.

If you're doing a single carb installation you can use the straight primmer fittings part number 62T-14251-10

I just went and removed a few fittings from some new 46's getting converted to 48's and here's a couple pics.

I just twist them until they pull out. Then I just push them back in. I haven't had one come out spontaneously ever.

If you're just twisting, fug it, lock the vice grips on 'em and twist. Voila!

Thanks for the part number. My slide hammer is an old jeep axle shaft with a piece of pipe around it for the slide, and a piece of chain welded to the end to connect to whatever you're pulling.

I like the black velvet. I have some pants made of that stuff :clown:

I was afraid it might kink my fuel line. I'll be running a Tauceti filter, but I'll hook it up first. I was just wanting to make sure it was easy to move if needed.

I was thread searching for full spec answers. This thread had a good pic for reference. Looking at this pic is the top or bottom fitting the input? What the heck is the little fitting on the opposite side of the carb for? You cant see it in this pic, but it's 1/8 barb fitting?

Since you Full Spec'ers didn't respond I just tried it my self based on my old Mikuni setup as a template and ran fuel lines accordingly. I'm assuming the small barb on the opposite side of carb is for a primer unless someone has "jedi" words of wisdom for me.
