I have a 92 750sx kawasaki standup
everything is stock except intake
but
my problem is if you give it more throtle then 1/4 it dont go any faster

I have adjusted the throttle all day and it dont change anything
and
a couple of times when adjusting the topend needle leaner it sounded out with a loud CRACK sound or maybe it was a backfire in the exhaust and then it would die
what is that????
and how do i get more power then 1/4 throttle

is this a popoff presure problem
i forgot to mention when i get that loud crack sound and then it dies i also see a poof of exhaust smoke in the moter area
i think it comes from the bottom of the exhaust pipe area
what could that be???

i have seen stator problems on 750 cause all kinds of mystifying and hard to explain problems

could be also a bunch of other problems too. fuel filters clogged. carbs need help?
what carb/carbs are on it?

oh never mind single keihin
there isn't a to to do with those and pop off. maybe a good carb rebuild and cleaning will suffice???

Stator, stator, stator. Send your's to jetskisolutions. The poles have a black plastic insulator inside on the core that breakdown with age/heat, and leak voltage to ground.

If you can, borrow a known good one first and swap out the flywheel cover just to make sure that fixes the issue.

Replace your spark plugs. I'v been running what seems to be the same problem, replaced the plugs and bingo, full power.. start easy and cheap fixes, then move into the breakdown if that doesent fix it.

like it,s been said if you can try another. But call john at jetskisolutions.com

He great help. And my rebuilt has been great. I sent him a bunch of old ones so perhaps he has some ready to ship right away.
Good luck

if its not the stator it may be the keyway on your flywheel broke. this will cause slippage of the flywheel and cause the timing to be off. happened to me.

Ok
Thanks Everybody For All Of Your Help Sofar

But
Let Me Run This By You Guys........

I Took The Exhaust Off And The Gaskets Where So Clogged Up Where The Water Ran Through Them That There Was Only Pin Size Holes For The Water To Get Around Through The Moter From The Pipe

I Think, And Please Tell Me If I'm Wrong But

The Water Was Not Getting Around The Head And Instead Was Traveling Only Inside The Pipe Getting Really Hot Witch Triggered The Temp Sensor To Lower The Rpm's To 3400 So It Was Getting Spark And Producing Power But Not A Lot And Idling Fine But Not Sending The Spark Plugs A Nuff Juice To Really Pickup The Ski When I Gave It Gas. Everything Was Working "electrical Wise" Perfectly, As It Was Designed To Do.

What Do You All Think About That
Because I Would Hate To Spend Alot Of Money On Refurbishing My Stator When It Was Working Just Fine
And
I Dont Think The Flywheel Was Spining Because It Is Rusted On To Whatever Holds It On And I Cant Get It Off Right Now
It
Could Be Though That The Temp Sensor Was Triggered And Now Is In The On Position And Wont Go Back To Off
Or
That The Cdi Has Been Triggered By The Temp Sensor And It Wont Go Back To Off
But
Before I Go There Either, I Think I Should Just Clean It Out And Replace The Gaskets With New Ones And Put It All Back Together And Try It Again.

What About My Theory?????
Is It Possible????
I Don't Know Anything About Ski's And There Moters, But I'm Trying To Learn !! :)

You Guys Are A Great Help
Thanks

You can disconect temp sensor and see how it's run. If this fix problem - airblow engine to clean all this sh**t from inside and put fresh gasket
