that is a sweet setup and nice bike... are those 250F's powerful enough??

mind you, I have not ridden a 4 stroke, 450 or 250F

I know a few who say they are no good in the woods, cause they can't pull hard enough up inclines and you get smoked in the straights...

No...it's a chicks bike...I can see myself on a 08 CRF 450 in 09...(I like buying a year old with mods) and I have a great connection to buy kust those kind of bikes...so LMK when you're ready.

At seminole...250's keep up with the 450's all day from a lap time standpoint. But I'd say the 450 is more error correcting than the 250 b/c of the difference in immediate throttle response...

As with pretty much anything...more cc's is more power.

I rode an RMZ 250 (is that right???) a few weeks ago...it woudl power up well into 3rd...

You gotta put some money into a 250f to make it run really good! Also, dump those duals and put a FMF single system on there if you are doing ANY mods to the motor. Team honda runs them for advertising only. Duals on a bone stock motor, single on anything else!!!

dude, just remember, all this yappity yap means nothing on a bike.. it's still 99% rider... thats the BEST part about mx. stock 250 2stroke at the track will destroy 99.9% of the guys out there if oscar diaz #68 is riding it. same guy will mop up the track and everyone on it with a stock 250F. you gotta come down already and just see for yourself... and while youre here you can ride every single bike in existence, lol. everyone in our crew has a different bike!

lol.. i honestly have no idea.. it really doesnt matter. most guys with 250 2-strokes and 450f's can't hold them wide open in anything over 2nd gear for more than 5 seconds... specially the stop-and-go trail kiddies.

and for god's sake, don't tell me about how you're in 5th gear tapped out on some flat road somewhere... lol..

anything under 40hp is a toy.... and hp and torque are much more important when you are riding real terrain, not little tracks for kids. Like you said, it doesn't matter what bike you have on that track... climb a 20ft sand hill w/ that 250F...HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! It may be able to make it out of first before it dies...

:bananapowerslide:

you little scaredy cats can stay in the woods.

the real men will be at the track with the whoops, doubles, triples, and tabletops.

now you guys are dissing 250f's.. lol.. oh man... well, your keyboards sure have alot of Horsepower!!!!

:haha:

trailriding... lol.. .what a joke

Saki, with all the BS you talk, if it means anything, you just redeemed yourself right here. It is all rider with any bike produced in the last 5-7 years. The technology is there and useable if anyone is willing to spend the time and has the ability to use it.

Now if you would just rememberr that when you start yapping about the whole track versus wood's thing....

lol.. that video idok posted pretty much confirmed everything i thought about trailriding or woods riding or whatever you kids call it... hahaha.. that was a JOKE!!!

it aint BS is if its true!! woods/trails = LAME!! what's next, a thread on how awsome it is to ride an fx12 at the lake? that video was just like couchers! a bunch of straight lines and a bunch of donuts!! hahahahahahahaha i love it!

those 250f's.. they sure do suck!!

'Saki, woods is no joke. It's extremely difficult. I thought the same as you , then I raced my first Hare Scramble. Not to mention 5 + hour enduro's. Pure hell. I personally don't like to race in the woods, because I am not good at it. I prefer racing outdoor motocross over everything, for fun factor. Of course it too is extremely difficult, but the woods is also physically demanding and technical, just in a different way then MX. See you at High Point, Budd's and Steel City!!

he's just trying to be nice to you. riding anything for 5 hours straight will get you tired. :twak: :twak:

even the top pro's in the world can barely hang on for 40 minutes outdoors at an mx national. :wavey:
