removed turf, cracks, opinions please

I peeled off my old turf, found a huge crack, the whole piece pulls up in the rear of the tray. :shooter3:

1. what do i or who do i need to do to fix this?
2. is all the foam inside the tray totally waterlogged bc of this?
3. this a common place to break?!

You can bet money on the foam being waterlogged.
Either glass over it and ride, or tear it out and refoam.

extra weight. of you store it in freezing conditions the water could freez and break something.

would it be possibly to drain some water if i stood it on the nose for a while? maybe used a space heater? :shooter3:

if you want my honest opinion...

you have the turf off, you have to glass it anyway. just defoam it and fix it right. it'll save you a ton of agrevation later on.

not exactly, i read crabs build and it looked pretty intense, cutting the tray up and refoaming. .

if you want my honest opinion...

you have the turf off, you have to glass it anyway. just defoam it and fix it right. it'll save you a ton of agrevation later on.

My origional plan was to just throw some turf on this year and then do footholds and reinforcing next year. . and returf then, sounds silly i know. but i've been working on the motor too and just didn't want to bite off too much seeing how summer is comming. .

Just give up and give it to me..........That stock foam is garbage, most don't realize its really what your standing on outside the pump tunnel.

Its really not that hard to defoam a ski grab some beers and go at it you will have it done in no time.

prob looking like the best way to go. i havn't had time to search for a TECH how to on doing it but hopefully there is one. . :arms:

not a hard job but a dirty one. make sure to have plenty of beer. took me almost a 12 pk for just footholds.

I know its not in the tech advice but make sure the beer is cold ,that seems to help a lot.

cold beer is a must, only problem is sometimes you find yourself drinking 2 or 3 at a time and not working

Cut the tray out, easiest way to fix and strengthen.

If that dosen't work try a large screwdriver and a drill with a wire brush on it lol.
