What did I do to my engine?

I put my new B pipe on last week and had everything running. I decided I'd change out the jets in my carb to the ones provided by FP, so I pulled the carb and replaced the jets (what a PITA, btw). The only electrical connection I disconnected were the two little disconnects that go from the start/stop switch on the pole to the box. I didn't even do anything with the battery. Put the carbs back on, connected the fuel lines and plugged those two little electrical connectors back together.

Went to start it and... NOTHING.

No clicks, no whirrs, not a single sound. Checked the battery and it's charged, checked the fuse and it's fine, checked the two electrical connectors and they seem okay. Yes, the lanyard's in.

Obviously it's an electrical problem, but I don't have the slightest idea where to diagnose next. I didn't do anything to the electrical system except disconnect those two dumb connectors. I doubt it's the start/stop switch, since I had that apart at the end of last season and cleaned it really well and it was working fine before I took the carbs off.

Anyone have any other ideas? Could I have knocked something lose I don't know about?

Its impossible to hook the two wire connectors backward so you must of done something else. Check the battery. They have been know to just take a dump. Also, check the connections especially the grounds.

it is possible that you bent the terminals in that wire connector.

pull it apart, look at it really good.

while its apart, use a paper clip or something to touch bother terminals ( E box side) together and it should turn over.

if not, check for voltage, should have battery voltage between the red wire and ground

which connector? I do get voltage in one but not the other.

you could go to a local marine or auto parts store and buy some quality bullet connectors with the rubber covers and re wire all four wire (2 wires for each plug).

I will do that. Another day. when I feel like taking the e-box out and rewiring those mofos. For now, I just wanna get this sucker running before those 77 degree days start here in a couple weeks. ;-)

Oh and thanks for everyone's help. I was about to have a really bad day, since I was finally able to put a pipe on this thing after two and a half seasons and then I thought I was going to have another major expense.

so are the connector on the outside of the ebox damaged... if is the ones on the outside, you don't even have to take out the box, just re wire them while its in the ski.

at the plug outside the box, clean the male and female part of the connectors, they get corroded.......... usually do not notice until you unplug, then it does not work when you plug it back.

I could, but I'd rather add a few inches of wire to them while I'm doing that. There's less than 2 inches of wire outside the box to work with.
