Dual Cooling Question

I have a dry pipe already set up with dual cooling. It has one fresh water line going into the exhaust manifold feeding the cylinders with two lines coming out of the head to the pissers. It then has one fresh water line coming into the pipe chamber and one out of the pipe to a pisser.

I was thinking, would it be more beneficial to have two fresh water lines going into the exhaust manifold and one out of the head to the pisser and one to the pipe and one out of the pipe? Just seems this would cool the head better and keep the pipe warmed up a bit more.

Thanks,

Theres a bunch of ways to do it but the way I'm doing it is I have 1 line going to the exhasut manifold and the other teed with 1 line going to the exhasut manifold and the other to the bottom of the head pipe.

If 1 gets clogged I always have water cooling my motor

I ran my limited ski like your first description for 5 years with no problems. And with a dry pipe the pipe doesn't have to be warmed up the inside of the pipe is completely dry the water is only used to cool the under hood temperatures.

With the lines routed like above the water never got warmer than maybe 100 degrees through my ski. I don't think you need to cool the head any better than that.

if you only have 1 line going to the engine and 2 lines leaving the engine, youll want to make sure your 2 exit lines, from the head, are either restricted or tee'd together and going to a single pisser.

Fantastic. Maybe I will just run one to the pipe and two to the manifold. There is a third line already tapped and just blocked off.

It would be more reliable if you ran two lines to your manifold because if one line clogs, comes off, breaks etc, you will still have another line to cool the circuit which will be plenty. The way you have it now, if the line going to the pipe messes up you'll over heat the pipe and burn out your coupler, and even worse, if the line going to your cylinders messes up you will have nothing and have a good possibility of frying your motor. If it were me I'd be running two lines to the manifold, it could save your motor one day.
