I got an 82' JS440 with a group K 550 as part of a trade on my dirtbike and figured it would be something fun to do next summer. I ended up putting it in the water last weekend to test and just putted around a little. Then I found a local guy on here (Mouthfulloflake) and ended up getting a wetsuit from him and going riding today. Now I am hooked, you guys might badmouth the JS's on here a lot, but if it weren't for this JS I probably never would have even thought to get a standup. I got to ride his SJ though and it was sweet, I might have to get one this summer. I just wanted to post and introduce myself and also say thanks to Mouthfulloflake for showing me the ropes and hooking me up with a wetsuit so I could enjoy it instead of freeze to death.

Very nice. Welcome to the "Hooked" club. If won't be long before you have more money in your ski than you have in your car or truck. It is worse than Crack. There is nothing you can do in this sport that money won't solve. So all the people with spare parts are glad to have you riding stand ups.

There is nothing wrong with the JS or any stand as it's much better to have a bad ride than a great walk (not trying to say that your ride is bad).

its not cold here at all yet, in fact its sunny and upper 60s today.

water felt GREAT yesterday.

He was tearing it up in that video, need to get him to take a look at my ski with me. The water was great yesterday with the wetsuit, I'm ready to go out again whenever.

that is him in the first little bit, he is riding ketsairs orange ski back in, you have to choke, and wide open the throttle to kill it.

My son figured it out quickly , I didnt.

he also didnt like Ketsairs ski at all. hahahahaha

he is there on and off in the rest too, the white ski is always him, he has big hair, pretty hard to miss.

I just watched that video again and at about 1.10 he cuts back onto his own wake.

yeah, he rides well, he does well on his dirtbike too.

and honestly, he has taught me SO much, since birth, he humbles me OFTEN.

i had a 440, sold it for a 550, rode each for a week and i was hooked. bought a superjet and i am addicted. i lost interest in almost everything but jetskiing now.
just wait till you start going to ur bank and seeing 20 cents in there and stuff cuz you ride way to much or invested way to much in. haha.. well thats me
