I have a burning question that nobody (I have spoken with) has a quality answer to...maybe you guys can help:
I called Advent to see about getting an Advent CDI and they told me that this product is only for 1996 and up Superjets because their Advent ignition needs the 62T flywheel and stator. They said the product will not work on 61x motors (1994 and 1995 Superjets) due to the different stator and flywheel.
Okay I can buy that story.....when I look at the Pro-Tec website I see they offer two different modified stock CDIs. One for the 62T and one for the 61x...it makes it seem as if there really is a difference between the 61X and 62T ignition, flywheel and stator combination when working with the CDI.
If this is true then why does MSD only offer one CDI for All years 650, 701 (61x and 62T). How come MSD does not offer different CDIs for the 94-95 and 96+ Superjets?...Their one product works in everthing no matter what flywheel and stator is installed...but the Advent is dependant on the stator and flywheel? Help me understand this difference.
