Hey guys can anyone tell me whether or not skis in AZ have titles?? Some turkey I am possibly going to buy a boat from says he only has the registration slip that you use to get your sticker from the tag office. He says that it is the same thing as a title in AZ.. Is this true? He sent me a picture of it and it is exactly the piece of paper I have to carry in my boat at all times in Florida. The boat is worth the money, but I have to spend about 600 dollars in freight to get it here and dont want to find out that it was stolen or somthing.

Thanks
Jay

You know, I don't know why people insist on not transferring things to their name? I see a few major issues with that...

1. You get pulled over by the water cops, you show the reg. slip to the cop and it doesn't have your name on it. Not good for you, and not good for the guy who sold it. He's probably under the impression that when you bought it, the registration will be transferred, and in essense, anything you do with that ski could come back on him.

2. The ski gets stolen. How do you claim a ski that technically doesn't belong to you.

3. If it's not registered, what happens when you get pulled over and you don't even have the current stickers on it?

you must have some pretty cool watercops then.. You cant put in a ski in florida with out them checking you and telling you that you could hit a manity or something.
