How does anyone ride worth a crud with....

a stock steering setup!?!?! I finally got my roundnose out on the water today after working on it off and on for a couple months. It is a great boat! i rode it for a good half a tank of gas then broke out my square that had a shortened UMI system on it. the UMI made that square seem like a sportscar compared to my RN.......sheesh...something else I definitely have to buy for the RN now.

Have you seen the X metal steerng setup? you should look into that before you make up your mine, I would never ride with out it. Just my two cents

i hear ya!!! i cant beleive how much the stock setup sucks . i had no idea it made such a difference. my RN sucks compared to my buddies(with UMI) and the difference is huge. im savn up for sure!

woohoo! The RN will have a steering setup to ride with this weekend. I just picked up the UMI install kit, UMI zero degree bars, Blowsion shortened turnplate, an X-metal throttle...and a new set of ODI rogues!:woot:

Just shorten the stock steering plate to make is shorter. I know it doesn't do anything to the turn ratio, but it is a cheap mod and you don't have to worry about those stupid UMI bearing caps coming loose and making the handle bars all wobbly. I don't have any problems with mine from loosening, but I have seen many others that have.
