How-To split your hull

Grow a pair and hop to it

Trust me, when I get a RN hull that's exactly what I'll be doing.

Should make installing WaterDawg foot holds a breeze and I still have that dumb "sandblast the hull on the inside to make it thinner" idea.

With all the reinforcing everyone goes I'm sure all that SMC just isn't necessary.

Thanks Moondance for taking my question seriously and answering it for me in PM. I appreciate it since the only way for me to learn more is to ask.

thats cool.

IM too impatient and lazy though, id end up with my hull in about 35 pieces.

thats a GREAT way to get in there and really do some good reinforcing though.
( up under the nose, and the rear lower sides)

Yea you have access to everything. I did this to remove all the foam for an idea i have in mind. I also am going to shave the sides of the tray. Im going to mold my own footholds. Put footstraps. Shave the gas cap. Remold the nose a bit. Side exit exhaust. Reinforce everything. Paint my engine compartment. And maybe a few other things while im in there. I really have a good idea for a gear driven dual pump set up. I want to do it but i want to have this done by like mid may so i might hold off til next year.

Just alil add on. I scraped all the green glue off the top deck. FYI use a blow torch or a heat gun if your really patient to get it really good and hot. If you dont neat it up it will take the first layer of your fiberglass with it. I did it in a small spot at first took forever and was taking some glass with it. Broke out the acetylene torch and bam done. There must be 20+ lbs of glue between the halves.
