Is this fuel line routing right on my SN?

I just picked up a used '91 SN and have a question about the fuel line routing. The ski is 100% bone stock, but the guy cleaned the carb before selling it since it had been sitting for a bit and he bypassed the selector valve completely. Now there is just a fuel line running from each tube on the tank to each outlet on the carb. Is this right? Now the hose on the side of the tank (I think it's the return line) is running to the carb but it is disconnected. It is a smaller hose and I can't even tell where it would have connected, the outlets on the carb are much bigger than that line.

Also, is there supposed to be a pisser on this thing, or does all the water go into the exhaust? Every ski I've had has had a pisser (RN, 750SX, SXR etc.) but this one doesn't.

Pulse line goes to the cases

If he bypassed the fuel selector, you should only have the reserve line-"fuel in" and return line "fuel out" connected to the carburetor. Edit, looks like your "on" line is already plugged at the tank (hard to tell in that pic)

Yes, the pulse line is going directly to the intake.
The tank has 2 outlets on the sending unit itself, ON and RES. The fuel lines are going directly from these to the carburetor, I'm assuming the ON is just acting as the return line now?
To the right of the sending unit is another line which has a check valve, then runs to the water separator then up through the hole towards the handlepole (vent line?).
To the right of that line is another small diameter line that right now runs over to the carb but is not connected to anything, and it's a smaller diameter than anything I see around where it ends (it's the far right hose in this pic). It's not cut as you can see marks from the cable tie that was holding it on.

That grey hose is your return.

Hook the reserve up to top nipple on carb, cut the ON line close to the tank and plug it up(a bolt and a zip tie works fine). Hook reserve up to bottom of carb.

Do yo mean to hook up the RETURN line to the bottom of the carb? You said to hook it up in 2 different places lol.

Stock 650's didn't come with one. you can add a T and run one off the rear cooling line from the head to the pipe for a visual.

Sorry, the return line is the one furthest to the right on the tank correct?

Correct. One to the left of that is tank vent, and the two on your pickup should be labelled.

Can't hurt to pull the pickup and double check that the reserve makes it to the bottom of the tank. Looks like someone has been tinkering with things on that ski.

Will do, thank you again for your quick replies. Yes, the fuel lines are literally the only things messed with so I wanted to get it squared away before I take it out. I've been blowing graphics off all morning...
I think he had it sitting around for a while, and when he needed to sell it the fuel system was full of crud so he just hacked it together to make it work. Other than that it is completely stock which is what I liked about the ski, I'll likely get another SXR and keep this as a loaner ski, nice and reliable and good on gas
I've been off skis for a few years and y last 2 skis were SXR's which I really like, but the prices on them our completely outta control out here in CA. Best I found was a stock '03 for $5500.

Yeah the market for used sxrs went way up after they stopped making them. There is a guy around here that has a bunch of em. He keeps one listed at a stupid price like 7 or 8 grand all the time on criagslist. Guess he's just waiting for someone who wants one real bad.
