300/440/550 fuel lines

there are 4 hookups on the tank and i have no idea which way to run them
im guessing the "on" hookup to the back of the carb, im going to bypass and plug tbe reserve, bottom of the fuel pump to the crank case and top of the fuel pump back to the tank? then there is still one hook up left on the tank?

help please

The four hookups on the tank are on, reserve, vent and return, if you bypass or remove the fuel selector you will only use the reserve, vent and the return.

You can take the pickup out of the tank to see what goes where, the reserve is the one that goes all the way to the bottom of the tank, the vent and return are interchangeable.

The vent gets a one way valve attached to it with a short hose, this lets air in the tank but hold a certain amout of pressure in the tank.

The return will go from the tank to the top fitting on the carb, the reserve will go from the tank to the bottom fitting on the carb. The on fitting will need to be blocked off .

Remove the return fitting from the carb going back to the tank, blow pressure into this line then stick your finger over the hose to hold the pressure in, this will fill the fuel lines and fuel will come out the return fitting on the carb.

Put the return hose back on the carb, fire it up, remove the return line again with it running, if fuel is still coming out the return line fitting on the carb the fuel pump is working correctly.

Okay thanks
is the way I said to hook the lines up right?

No the fitting on the plate on the back of the carb hooks to the pulse line-crankcase, the other two fittings that are inline on the carb the top fitting is fuel return , the bottom fitting will hook to the reserve.
