Here is the deal. I have Wammer Ricters on my SJ. Have spent some time on the turf on the inside of the holds to make my feet fit better. I have basically come to the conclusion that the holds dont feet my feet. I have a very high arch + when I kick into the holds I feel like square peg, round hole. I still have brusises from sunday's ride.

So here is my next question.

I have 24-7 universals on my Kawi. Also not happy with the fit on that ski.

So, I try out the holds on Wavedemons conversion ski and i f'n LOVE those holds. Feel like they are made for my feet. There is minimal added turfing too. They are supposedly 24-7s too.

Has anyone compared the foot section of the 24-7 universal and the 24-7 round nose binding?? are they that different?

I don't have an answer for you, but I have ridden a ski with them and I seem to recall them being somewhat small? Have you tried out a set of WCF footholds? I have them on my ski and they are badass!

i thought they were one in the same. I have the 2001 universal bindings in my RN and the 2003 universal bindings in my SN. There are some differences between the 2001 and 2003 bindings, but I though it was all in how they fit around the gunwhales.

The WCF footholds seem much better though. I might try them out for my next foothold install.

I had a moment of clarity and decided to drop 24-7 a call.

The roundnose bindings are much deeper that the universals. Molded from a 11.5 sneaker + foot shape. I think that explains why Tim's feel so different.

Looks like I am going to be attacking the ski with a rotozip again. Such a shame to tear up that almost new turf. But I also wanted to add that 1" underpadding.

Unfor wont be done this year!

yes, the 24/7's are more contoured to your feet compaired to the 24/7 Universals............., but like each person, each foot is different, what works for one person may not work for another...............

someone just walked into my office and said the same thing. you guys are just jealous and have a man crush on me. it's ok, I'll let you touch it. (my beard that is)
