Surfriding Making your pancake pete foothold deeper.

I decided to make my ppfh deeper. Idok gave me the idea. I pretty much put 3 layers of glass over the top. Put a piece of cardboard with packing tape on it to help make it straight across. I left the bottom open and filled it with 25 mil padding. then put a full piece of padding on bottom cut a 25 mil in half so only 12.5 mil (lucas' idea). Then formed the padding a little with an angle grinder to make the foot fit better. Then turfed it. So now it is very cushy and has some give because there is not hard surface on the bottom.

I did a version of this to mine . Makes a great front foot hold even more greater . Might even say it is the most bestest on the market .

Got a newb question Tanner.Does the front foothold need to be snug or tight like footholds? l never have had a front foothold on my skis and always wondered.

I like it to be snug...feels more secure. But its all preference. I do rolls and backies so don't want to come fliying out. I tried a surf stance backie and it wasn't snug and foot came right out and me off the back. The ski launched so I was glad it didn't find me in the water...would have hurt. I'm thinking about putting a strap in the back maybe as well then I won't have to focus on keeping my foot locked in for surf stance rolls anymore. Its a never ending story of customizing these dang waterscooters!
