first surf ride

well hats off to you guys make make it look so easy lucky for us it wasnt very big for our first time in the surf .
the place was 110 km west of Jakarta .

it was a load of fun apart from drinking half the ocean i had a ball .

not a bad back drop with a volcano going off in the back ground

had to save Anton's ski before it went under :?

we couldnt smell it yesterday as the wind was blowing the other way , but i have smelt the the other one that was going off last month , Indonesia is on the ring of fire it is very very active here there are 2 big ones going off at the moment .
my daughter wanted to know why we didnt take the sit down seadoo as she wanted to ride over and see lava :-}} 6-7 years olds have great imaginations , its only takes about 45 min to 1 hour to get there .

as for the surf im hooked ill try and get down every 2 weeks for a play as soon as we are getting to grips with it we will head down to bali for the weekend and try some big swells :-}}

i will when my Rickter XFS turns up :-}} its was due at the end of feb but they are 3 weeks behind , i know it will be worth the wait :-}}}

one mate here is ordering a XFS and other just brought Ross Champion's ski from last year so we should have a very nice collection of ski's here soon

i own and run a coal mine here in indonesia , i retired to Spain at the end of 08 but this new project came up and was to good let let go so moved over to set it up and run it ill stay here for 3-4 years then head back to Spain for my daughter to grow up over there , still got my houses bikes cars ski's etc there we just go over when my daughter has her school holidays now

i think we need to organize a ride in Indo latter in the year , wait till my Rickter and Ross's old ski is here and invite a few of you boys over for a few days in Bali we will have 5-6 very good set up ski's here everyone can share .
run a little Bali freeride :-}} on some of that great Bali surf

we would send the ski's down with 2-3 mechanics so we could just turn up and ride
