Maybe you're going about it wrong. Try looking for the specific carb, not a carb that will word on that engine.

What is it? BN38?

thats the issue, I have no idea what kind of carb I have, all I can really tell you is it is in a 1988 kawasaki JS440, and the flame arrestor is a rectangle.

Pull of the FA and take a pic. Post pic and I bet someone on here recognizes it.

Measure the intake in mm. My guess if 38mm, but I dunno what comes stock. Might be 44mm, but I doubt it.

Who knows, it might have had a SBN installed before you got it.

Why? U might have the best carb out there currently installed.

First, figure out what you got and go from there.

EDIT: If you don't know what carb you got, getting the right kit for it is going to be impossible.

Will the SBN38 work on this ski? Anyone know?

Antizerg, learn everything you can about Mikuni carbs. The website Algonquin gave provides kits for any carb out there.

Dude. first look and see what carb you have. Why are you so insistant on just buying any ole carb kit. You might already have a SBN installed by the previous owner. Most people junk the old BN's and install a SBN as the first mod to their ski's!
