Now now, the gopro is an AWESOME little camera, especially the HD. You just have to be creative with the mount points, since one location can get boring fast.

Sweet! I was making it around on those backies! I think I have whiplash though, I am still sore from tuesday. Thanks to Dan and Stanely for towing me in...yep sank the ski twice! Ironic since I was the only one with a tow rope...hahaha.

If you're putting together anything more than quick clips, you need angle variation, without a doubt.

Jerry im talking strickly as a helmet cam,99% of the vids shot here are done from the helmet, and 75% of those suck cause they are shot with a 170 angle gopro and the guys have no idea how close you have to be to make that angle look worth a crap, most are just tiny black dots barely in perspective. You literally have to be unsafe close to get a decent shot.
the tachyon micro is a FAR better cam for this, its cheap and shoots with a 90 lens.........perfect for jetski action, and its got GREAT quality, handles low light and bright sun great as you turn into the sun it auto adjusts smooth.
If you have a go pro wide and all you do is shoot hel cam of others, sell it to someone outside the ski community and get the tachyon micro.you will be much more happy with the footage,it captures the true experience of the size of waves and tricks MUCH better, almost perfect, this topic needs its own thread,I enjoy watching ski vids to much to endure one more gopro attempt

Did you get anything worthwhile from Tues. night...? I could really us a new avitar.

Sorry Cory,
I posted all that I had. You're in there, but it's so far away that it wasn't worth snapping a pic.

As far as helmet cams go, I guess I'm in the market. I only mentioned the gopro cause it seems to be what most are using. My knowledge of these cams could almost fill a thimble.
However, I don't think it is possible to take a step backwards where quality is concerned! I'll do a little research, but it's gonna come down to $$$.

You see why I thought you pulled a couple off!
P.s. I finally learned how to put in music during editing. (after I was done)
