NO jetting is necessary. Since the Atomzier doesn't change the amount of fuel or air like say a carburetor jet or air filter change just bolt and go

Ya right. Unless the new venturi has the exact same shape and dimensions as the original, the signal and fuel flow WILL change.

you'd better be damned good with a drill. I wouldn't just go in there with a 1/2" bit and start chewin at it. you need a good incrementally graduated set of bits. and I would say work your way conservatively close to 1/2" and see where your at with it. it would suck to drill it to 1/2" and it sit in there loose, vibrate out and go through the motor. not to mention a messed up carb.

The guy didn't say "no tuning required". He just said no jetting required. I'm sure you'd have to adjust your screws slightly. Sounds logical but as said earlier, I wouldn't just go at my carb with a semi-steady hand and a 1/2" drill bit.

i have installed these before
there is a drill guide that bolts to the top of the carb to insure proper bit location
they do work just not 4-5 mph

OK-the biggest issue now seems to be the risk of F'ing up our carbs. Does this drill guide come with the kit? If so-this is a bargain and darn sure worth trying.

Obvously to install these we will need something better than a hand drill, but that is not a problem. Every machine shop can drill this perfectly. The question is is it worth it? Do these things work? Who makes these? Mikuni? Anybody tried these on oem 38's?

Man I look forward to feedback cuz it makes sense but I would not do it. :ugh2: I don't like how it says they are "held in".....eek.

a drill press would be the right way to do it. bolting the carb to the base. but yeah, "some sort of loctite material" holds it in...LOL the guy that placed that ad doesn't know much about what he's selling there, or he wouldn't just say " it's real easy to do, just drill it out to 1/2 and throw some loctite on it".. there's way more to it than that..lol some kid is gonna get ahold of one and totally screw up his carb.

D-Roc, I never said I didn't think it would work, just very vague descriptions of what he has there. it looks like a killer setup, just securing it in the carb good would be my main concern.

wouldn't blackjacks have something like this already?

Blackjacks don't have a bombsite or anything for that matter in the middle of the cabr... They use this principle on the inside of the carb walls.
