Foot Straps???

i am usually the biggest foot strap advocate around, but seeing how youre from missouri you will be riding all flat water, in which case you will want foot holds, not straps. dont be afraid to throw some footholds in your ski, there are plenty of threads on here that will guide you step by step on the install.

Only on a ski? Hmmmmm...:scratchchin:

the acorn nut allows you to weld it to the washer without seeping molten hot metal into the threads of the nut and it also stops the bolt once it has reached maximum depth so you don't keep tightening it into your boat.

now you know...

Cool, thanks- I gotcha. Looks like you could get the welding done without mucking the threads, but the anti-poke through feature is good.

ign says it was cancelled for Xbox release..... only on PS2. Probably means it sucked but hey, it's still skis... Wave Race for GC is where its at.....

Wave Race:Banane09: I havent played that game in so long. I cant remember what game system it was originally on, maybe N64? I'm not sure, but it definately rips:fing02:

yea... acorn nuts are definately the way to go. i originally tried welding the sides of the nut to the washer, but it turned out to be way too bulky. :thinkerg: The best way to do it is to just set the nut in the washer hole and weld it from underneath, then grind off the slag (excess weld). only the bottom of the nut is fused with the washer, but the epoxy you use to glue the washer and nut into the hull will undoubtedly give way long before that small weld. It turns out that metal is a pretty strong mineral :arms:

I installed mine with self tapping drywall hangers.. I got the shortest/fatest ones there was at Home Depot.. They have held up to alot of abuse for sure.. heyyyy They are even Matt E proof !! When my ski was sinking in the waves they did a panic tie up to my straps and tried to pull my ski in by the foot strap !! The Velcro came apart before pulling out those hangers !!! 10 minute install and been going strong for 10+ rides now !!
