650/X-2 650sx Rideplate

I have a crack in my rideplate on my 650sx and i want to replace it before the riding season but i dont know what rideplate to buy. I want to do some freestyle but i dont want to lose top speed any ideas? I was looking at a Oceanpro Skegged and racing plates. The racing has no skeggs but has holes, and the skegged has no holes i need help on this one.

thanks

skegged, The 650sx is not a ski that will benefit from anything that is labeled "racing" , Indeed it can be improved by having a better ride plate and better impeller, but your options are going to be limited.

FYI-As far as the 650 sx is concearned..There are a TON of aftermakret parts for them. Just my advice is to buy what you can afford within reason, eventually you will out grow it. I had 3 of them , still have a soft spot for those old ironsides..but you will always desire more out of it, OH and try to stay off anyone elses ski that may be faster and more nimble... Then you will rethink your whole approach. Not bursting any bubbles here, Just giving you some insight. Good Luck!

I totally agree with you guys. My first ski was a JS300, my second was a 650sx, my third stand-up was another 650sx and I still have it. As for rideplates, personally I had a lot of fun with my stock plate. It made the ski feel more sporty than my longer plate. I have on it a Jetsport winged plate and it works really well too, but not quite as sporty feeling and really hard on the trailer bunks. My thoughts are to do as many home mods as you can before buying parts. There is a lot more satisfaction in doing the work for yourself when you know what you can do than to just buy parts because not all parts work well, or any better than stock in some instances. I modded the berries out of mine starting with as many free and very inexpensive mods as I could. I'll tell ya, the free/cheap mods made me the happiest with the ski and benefited its performance the most. Some of the more expensive bolt-ons ended up being liabilities. Here is the link to my build thread, you might find a tip or two to be helpful.
