Well I would have to disagree with you, you know what they say about opinion's, there not riding there racing and as far as racing something made for the water, well anybody could do that. I don't know about you but I have always done stuff that the other guy isn't doing, because I like to be diffrent.

You ask why I post here?

I'm a member here, I own a jet-ski and even tho you don't like it maybe other people here mite enjoy seeing something diffrent, you know something out side of the box, variety is the spice of life kind of thing, I say enjoy life and enjoy the ride, what ever your ride may be.

I made it very clear when I posted, That it was from a snowmobile race, if you don't like it don't look !

dude that is bad ass!

seriously, how often does sinking occur? and what is the procedure to take it out?

are the main reasons mainly mechanical or because a rider falls off?

In the pro class there isn't much sinking but in the semi pro class there is some sinking, most of the sinking happens from driver's lossing control or the belt getting wet, after sinking a sled that is set up to run on the water it can be ready to go again in 10 to 20 min's top's but the trick is to shut the motor down before the sled go's under, the sled's are set up to run on water as far as making them water tight, light as possible, gearing, narrowing the front end with a solid axle, anything from a stock motor to a full mod.

What kind of sled you racing? It looks like a old ploaris indy?

Sinking sleds is very common. You get them started just like a sunk jetski. Pull the plug, dry, repeat till it starts.

haha we did that on my girlfriends pond and sunk one, an older polaris, then i watched my buddy run a river up in cadillac on his brand new 08' rev 800 and his belt got wet, good thing when it went down it was only in about a foot of water on the river...lmao. other than that it isnt that hard to cross straight, but to actually do it for long periods of time around a track takes some serious control, its hard to carve a sled.
