Fixed Steer Squarenose Tom 21 hood

Well this is going to be more of an assembly than a build. Everything is basically done already. But here it goes.

90 square. Picked it up pretty cheap, had turf, footholds and a blowsion one way, but was beat up and a had crappy repair with a ton of resin on it.

Here's what I've done so far:

Reinforced the engine bay with some 1208 biax and cleaned up the bootleg repair.
Added a set of Tom21 tubbies.
Turfed squarenose extinguisher case for a front foothold.
Installed pump with 08-up stock prop and wetwolf cone.
    Riva top loader intake grate.
    Pro-tec rideplate
    TDR waterbox

I just got my TOM21 hood delivered today and mocked it up.

I'm going to pull the motor out of my roundnose and put it in this ski.

stock pump with 08 SJ prop and wetwolf cone

I dunno about that... My RN is getting an ss865. I've never rode a fixed steer and figured what the hell. May as well try it out. I can always put a pole on the ski if I don't like it.

Once you go fixed steer you won't go back. I can't wait to hear what you think of it once you start riding and really jumping it.

Can't wait to get my own place soon. My pops is a junk collector. There must be 4 or 5 blown up old outboards he can't bear to part with.

I'm doing the flatdeck sj right now.
My flat deck sxr rides awesome! And I have toms fixed hood on that.

I'm doing the sj now because everyone likes these SJs so much and I have a ski with much invested into it.

The Fixed SJ handles awesome. Still rides like a superjet only the pole doesn't move lol.

It was really easy to roll and re-entrys and carving on it were a lot of fun. I'm going to mess with bar placement and a different steering setup than stock, but so for its a blast. I couldn't be any happier with it. I had no idea what to expect but its a very fun ski to ride.

Still a very fun boat. I don't think it will ever be my primary, but it is sweet none the less. Did a little rattle can paint to it this winter and stuck a coupler stickers on it.

I have to do some adjusting to make the different steering work that I put on it too. Unfortunately the first ride out on it I broke my throttle return spring and got scared of a runaway after that. I burned maybe a half gallon of gas and sat on the beach.

Nice! Not sure how I missed this before! Fixed-steering fan here too.

I like the look of the square SO much more than the round. Looks great!
