All I have to say on this whole subject is this.

I have 2 infractions for insulting a person when in fact I only insulted DikWiggler.

Anyway, when did this place get all serious ?
We're all adults (age wise, mental wise,........ not so much.) so why do we need to be watched and sent to the corner ?

Everyone of us is a bit different (ain't that a wonderful thing), some totally PC while other tend to use a more colorful vocabulary.
Is that so bad ?
Are we really trying to protect the children ?
Is my dinner ready yet ?



P.S. It is OK to insult me and I don't wish for any member who does so be punished by an infraction or worse.

Because not everyone responds in the same way. Some people end up threatening physical violence (yes, I know, it's the internet) and really negativity just breeds negativity. Some people are very negative here and whole threads turn into flamewars (very recently) and then spill over into legit threads (also happened very recently) and just craps the place up.

The same could be said for why do we have cops or military? Aren't we all adults?

I understand but my thing wasn't aimed as much at the admins as other users.

Some need to grow some thicker skin, others should learn how to skip a thread that gives them grief while others still should perhaps grow up.

I have fully deserved all 7 bannings!!! If I know I am 100% right about something-I will fight for what is right. (on the internet of course, in real life I am a big panzy azz). Let's say 1 more new section gets started named 'advanced driveline'

The only way you can start a thread in this section is if 'the panel' has ridden your ski and has the OPINION that it is one of the more respectable skis they have EVER ridden, then you are invited to post in 'advanced driveline'. I think this would really help the newbies be able to know what is heresay vs what is known fact for working and working really well.

At the same time-I think thats also where alot of crap begins, you have amateurs that think they know arguing with seniors that really do know.
BTW-I am a amateur that has learned who to listen to and who not to listen to.

The other big issue with the Gil idea is that just because you have a well set up ski, does NOT mean you're are a great ski tech/tuner. It might mean you just had the $$ to throw at X-Scream or someone else to build you a boat.

Superjet owners are no longer elitists with all the AM hulls being built nowadays anyhow.

You guys get into it with other users all the time. NOT getting into bickering matches with people would be good.

Basically, you can't be "one of the guys" and just expect more respect than the rest of the guys.

I am an admin of a forum for work. My admin account is simply that, the account I "admin" from. If I want to participate in discussions, I sign in as a regular user and nobody even knows I'm an admin, or has to treat me as such. I don't log in to my admin account to give lectures, I log in to ban people and remove posts. People can call "Admin" all the names they want... it doesn't hurt my feelings.

Funny thing is, just the other day I get a PM from somebody from this site on PWCToday, saying that "Bob" is a fag. My response, "what you do this time, you must be banned again. (words to that effect). I go look, and nope, it was not "Bob" but "fred" who gave an infraction which resulted in somebody getting banned. Before that I get a similar PM from same person calling me a puzzy or something like that for giving this person an infraction. And yet I had not even been on the site in hours. It was "Ralph" who gave him an infraction. Funny thing is, this person always says he did not do anything wrong, that we are out to get him.

Personally, calling me a puzzy just makes me laugh.


Answer me this. If your husband was on your works forum, how would you deal with him.
