Just looks like a nose jobbed SXR hull that is obviously shorter to me. Saying its CHOPPED UP doesnt really tell me its anything different. It looks like it may have some rocker in the nose? Is the center keel the same as kawi? How about the intake area? Kawi? Where is it shortened? Just the front or some in front some in rear. Tray is super long like SXR. IMO the biggest downfall to Kawi in freestyle is the pump. So why not change that to Yami (just curious) a Kawi Mag pump and props are alot more expensive and harder to obtain (mag pump wise) . You said the hull is 75#, I assume being wet layup glass that does not include the weight of the giant hood.

All that being said, I like the looks of the ski over all. It appears to have some rocker to the front which the SXR hull needed BAD. I also think the intake area on the SXR needs moved back and widened on an SXR style hull and the center keel lowered considerably to help it hook up.

I am not bashing here AT ALL. Just hate to see something posted up as a new product release and have an incredible amount of info just void from the post. Even the price is void, lead time and avail. layups. What makes it a great riding hull, does it slash well, handle well at full speed, is it stable and easy to recover on? How does it flip flatwater, surf, boatwake? Does it ride nose up in surf or down. Does it pearl ? How does it hook up or slide out?

Just sayin, how about some info?

Take a look at the buldges on the side and then look at a stock SXR. This hull has aprox 2" cut off the bond line and top deck lowered compared to an SXR and might even have some sectioning done on the bottom as well. From my experience with my chop (in sig), there is a lot done to this ski more than a nose job.

*Edit* Either the top deck is moved forward, or the bottom deck nose shortened.

I disagree. I think it looks like a rok with a superfreak nose. I like it because I hate rok noses.

I know there is more done than a nose job. What I dont get is why they do not spell out what is done and why. I agree, the nose looks better than the RoK but the overall hieght APEARS to be tall than a ROK to me. also it apears to have more rocker in the nose then a ROK which would be good I would think.
Kawastyler, it does look like yours and I thought that as soon as I looked at it, but lets face it, they are both MINI SXR's looks wise so they will look alike.

The ski is not a SXR with a nose job. The pump has been moved back in the hull and a larger intake tunnel was made. The bond line was widened from the front of the ski to the back. Also the angle on the rear of the ski bond line was kicked out. Bond line has a 5 inch rise from the about center of the ski to the front. This was no easy task as it completely changed the bottom deck. The front of the bottom deck was widened and it basically has built in sponsons. Also We incorporated a splash defector into the nose of the ski. Also the bottom deck was shortened and moved back in relation to the top. We did this so that the ski was better balanced while still being very short. The rear of the ski was also widened. I am currently getting a stock ski for comparison. Once they are side by side all the changes will be very clear.

Sjetrider your right the ski is tall. This hull can fit any pipe on the market. If you run a kawi dasa pv engine and run the dry pipe it will fit. Look for a lower profile hood in the next month as an option.

We are currently only doing wet layup hulls out of glass and vinyl ester. White Gel coat is the standard finish on these hulls and we only use aluminum 6061 for all mounts. Prices start at 3900.00 for a complete ready to assemble hull. This includes hood, aluminum cooling lines, front foot hold, standard footholds, pump shoe and all mounts drilled and taped. Scupper valves can be added at an additional cost and any custom mounts can be added as well. turf can also be added for 300.00 Ready to ride skis are also available but there is no set pricing for them there are just to many options to list. More info and pics on the way.

Thanks!! I wanted to get this out sooner but with the new store we are slammed with work. Getting the right people hired has been a challenge. But were on track and ready for summer. Big things in the works at QSM.
