    1990 Square Build

Well this hull has been kicking around for a while so we figured what the hell lets try and build it.

cut the back about -5, going to cut the pole bracket area out and re-build for a RN pole bracket. Possibly adjust the nose a bit w/ slight rocker. Might go with BOB adjustable footholds. Not really sure what is going on with this one for sure but just started hacking away at it.

I'll post more as progress continues. Might be slow, might be fast. Depends how bored I get.

Got a 61x/61x stock motor,Jetworks big bore 61x or my 865. Dunno yet. Might play motor swap and switch what motor is in what ski. I bet I won't finish this build till the end of he season.

Hell yeah on the paint Steve. Who knows what color by the time I get it done. I dont work as fast as you guys over at the shop.

got some more done tonight. Used up some carbon I had kicking around a while back. Did about 7 layers of random glass I had lying around. 17oz, 12oz biax. 7 1/4 oz cloth, 4 oz cloth and that thin carbon over the top of it all on the inside and out.

Hope it doesn't break!!!! It felt pretty strong today with just the stuff I did last night.

Next step is reinforcing inside the tray. And a ton of sanding.

It's right up to the middle bolt on the ride plate. I think that's around -5. Didn't really measure, just got out the grinder and started cutting.

did a little more today. Sanded off all the paint, and made a couple cuts. Fixed the crack on the hoodlip and layed up a piece of glass to use for the pole bracket area in a couple days.

I thought the date up under the bracket area in the topdeck was funny. 2-8-90.

Kinda funny how the stickers someone put on there years ago cooked through the paint. You can still see the outlines after sanding down to bare metton.

Made some progress today and yesterday. Got the hull ribs all ground out and prepped the hull for reinforcement. Foamed the gap in the bond lines and sanded it back flush to lay glass over the two decks.

More importantly, got the pole bracket area laid. Well, started. It has 4 or 5 layers of 12 and 17oz. Tied the flat part of the pole bracket area into the sides of the hull with all of the layers. Feels stronger than a stock squarenose already.

Got a bit more sanding and prep before reinforcing tomorrow.

Also cut the stock hood liner out of the hood while we waited for the first batch of glass to cure.

Is there a reason for doing the angle cut in the rear rather than chopping it straight? coming along great man!
