Power Gains, Total Loss Vs TBM

Is there much of a gain swapping from a TBM/Epic setup to a MSD Total loss?
Ive been told the gains are minimal but wanted to throw in out there anyways

Every person I have ever spoken to about TL says that it is a massive improvement over everything else. If I didn't ride surf 95% of the time, I would have switched to a TL years ago. I just don't need that much power for the way I currently ride.

The ATP FLAME unit has been calling my name ever since it was released but I just know it would hurt me far more than it would help. Should I ever have to move inland then I will be ordering a FLAME and a Viper Pro the very same day.

I don't know that is so much of a power gain as it is a gain in acceleration, engine snappiness, responsiveness, hotter spark and ability to run huge amounts of advance, the combination of these give the ski killer bottom end power and makes the ski jump out of the hole, just what you are looking for for freestyle.

Search my posts about MSD T/L, the long and short is-take too long to set up it up the 1st time and it will be trouble free.

what are you guys all using for batteries? i feel it is the most important element to the T/L systems, i loved the power gains but apparently was running way to small of a battery and was only getting about 5 starts and then i was swimming. thanks for any info.

I run a tiny shorai battery an can ride all day on a single charge. That's starting an stopping all day. I also have a heavy odyssey an I can ride all weekend on a single charge with plenty of life left.

I am running a tbm now with msd enhancer, stock ignition. It works very good. Total loss makes more power but to me is for competition use.

Taylor, send me a MSD T/L kit and I will make it surf proof for you and in return you can teach me how to ride one of these water scooters. LOL
