The why would you build a sn?

So I picked up this old square hull a few months ago, also grabbed up vxr pro for a donor. I was gonna just put it together to replace the fx that i had sold because i didnt have the time or money to put into it. Making quit a few changes, not sure how it will ride, but after riding a xfs I knew I wanted a shorter, rockerd hull. Im on a budget and I have pretty dialed in rn that I love to ride as well, so I hope this will tie me over till I can get a AM hull.Click image for larger version.

Nice ..... I see you are using my patented rocker technique. It's a pretty good method IMO. Let's you keep the SMC as structure to bond to. Pm me if you have a question . I learned a few things doing mine.
Many thanks to Jet works and Black jack performance for making a midlife crisis tolerable .

Thanks for the comments,Sportfish I may have looked at your build a few times before doing mine, actually maybe a few hendred. surprised no one commented on the rockered rear, anyways I took off four inches on the bottom rear and rockered it 3/4 of an inch. Added drains home depot one way, lowered, larger , exhaust tube, gonna be wider tray with toby footholds, also lowered and straght out off the back. I shortend the front, not sure how much rocker but i started it just in front of the front motor mounts, and i can just fit a stock gas tank in, I hope? Click image for larger version.

As far as the tray im still in the air on how il do it, planned on wider with standard holds but not sure, I ground alot of material off the top on the rails as to make room for three layers of 12oz biax cloth, and same on the bottom, lots of grinding! Sn top decks are made with some weird material looks like saw dust when you grind it

I would consider it, but honestly I would not have time until this thing is all done.

Yep you could use a piece off glass, i used a piece of drywall covered with plastic, just what I hadhad laying around, just measured it out around the pump and made it a lil bigger for trimming, but I also cut the upword angle out on the back of the pump opening, I used plexy glass in different thickness as a mold for filling that back in with glass, did the same on the pole mount area, used 1708 biax cloth, four layers. It takes forever just because you need every surface flat to build up the glass, so you can usually only layup one area at a time then wait for it to harden, I found that using chopped mat on corners helps where the thick cloth wont lay right, Thanks for the positive comments, its turned into alot bigger project than I had anticipated, but thats how it goes.
