Next time buy a Thrust trim... a lot stronger than the XS crap
Seen love taps and broken nozzle with the thrust setup , but never a broken ring....
may have been the 2nd wave, but you did more than tap the bottom......I am picturing aboout 4' in the coming straight down......broke my steering nozzle for the first time this weekend too..,....was more about the angle of the dangle vs. the actual impact

Haha now I know why I bought your cable, lever, and billet cable holder with only one ride on it and it didn't include the trim ring or nozzles :)

Nice, That Crap is the reason we made our trim. And I got to tell you josh, Its getting old watching you slander us every chance you get.
I am glad we always seem to be your benchmark though.
Now back to the carnage.....I bet those guys over at xscream would feel the XmaS spirit, and hook Matt up with a new ring.
Pat there's nothing wrong with your trim, I'm not slandering you buddy.. I've installed one of your trims, after hrs of grinding to make it fit , then making it round because it was welded like a egg, aft all that it broke.. So yeah I may have some hard feelings on the trim...
I'm glad you replaced his trim ring.. You always replaced anything that failed and that's great which makes XS a top notch company in the Jetski world... I should know I've spent over 20k with you over th years
I guess my problem is I'll tell it like it is, I don't sugar coat anything on anyone's products... Everyone has products fail, a good poke makes the next product better...
But to pm me about Karma... You don't want me to keep this fire going because I know alot that I've kept my mouth shut about that has to do with you and XS... So let's just drop the BS pat you want to talk you got my number Mr. karma
merry Christmas see ya real soon

You are unbeleivable. and that karma thing will come around. Dont be affraid to express yourself, please vent all of my ugly secrets, for some reason it doesnt concern me.
My trim ring was never replaced? #Zero was nice enough to offer a small warranty on the new bored reduction nozzle ( post19). If you call 170$ for a replacement trim ring x-mas spirit thenI even sent pics and told then it 10 minutes into first ride with it. Thats why i sold the remaining parts and will never have a x-metal trim system again.

I would say its obvious why we wouldn’t warranty it, I was just trying to be nice. Which I guess is unacceptable as well.
so, best regards
$170 for a trim ring is a discounted price? What's retail? I'm just curious...

X-metal gave me warranty on my XS 771 after half a season due to airleak in cases ( was assembled by them) I just had to pay shipping they also replaced the cranks seals with oem seals and checked short block for any further damages and I think that was more than generous !!
I think it all just depends on how you communicate ....
BOB GEN #3 TEAM SCREAM 771cc...
BOB GEN #3 <Wifey> JETWORKS 876cc..
94 Blaster -- KAW1100cc RAD DUDES
not on any sides here but its hard for a company to offer a no questions asked warranty when the product is as mangled as yours looks. be it faulty materials/construction or user error i dont know but its pretty muffed up. prove its not your fault and you have a case until then i still say jbweld and see how long it lasts![]()
dude you smashed the bottom of the lake / ocean, hard enough to do damage to every component sticking out the back of your ski and you / other members are bashing XS for it?
what the hell is wrong with some of you? something must have contaminated the drinking water down there...
if i smashed bottom and damaged it i'd suck it up and pay for the damages I CAUSED.

I wouldnt think a warranty would be expected in this situation but if I had to guess I would say thats not why he will not be running this dump nosel set ups.
Tough to get on and get full throw (grinding required) as the trim ring is too small. Tough to pull compared to Thrust anyway. The stopper nipple eats through the venturie nosel quick. Ya get what ya pay for is the lesson I learned with mine. It is still working a full season later however.
I bought a thrust for my most recent build and they are expensive but in the end worth the extra cost IMO, it comes COMPLETE so you can sell off your current crap if ya want.
I think enough preasure to crush the venturi nosel would warrant no warranty though.
I can say this though, I have broke a few sets of x-metal bars on my llegs and they were not warranteed, lol.
Just constructive critisism, no bashing intended.
All in all there is a market for cheaper but less quality parts out there. Some people cannot or will not spend $700 on a trim system or $400 for a set of bars and turn system.
That's a little harsh to say! I can agree with some of your statement... A direct hit to the ocean floor doesn't really make the broken part defective especially if it breaks the reduction nozzle as well but they simply posted this in the carnage section and said that after buying the Thrust trim setup, they feel it is much better quality that the X-metal which is just their opinion and doesn't mean it's a fact. The Warrantee conversation was started after the fact which turned into a confrontation of opinions on a public forum and ended up being a pissing match but that doesn't make them morons for disagreeing with the service they were dealt.

changed my statement to keep sensitive readers at bay...
i fully support both companies and personally own the Thrust Trim system, because at the time i purchased it, it was the only full kit that didn't cost a small fortune (i.e. wamiltons at the time). x-scream had not had there's out yet.
i originally started on the straight pull system. i went through 2 trim cables. at go #3, finally switched to the ez-pull setup. i had to grind the hole the bolt goes through on the back that secures the cable to the pump when i first got the kit. i have also had both the top and bottom plastic bushings break on me that the steering nozzle pivots on. the plastic steering nozzle the kit comes with stock broke on me after half a season of riding. not from hitting bottom, but from shear xs1000 power
the point i am trying to make, no parts are 100% perfect. i've built and owned enough skis/parts to know one thing - EVERYTHING you do custom requires grinding/cutting/modifying to make it fit and eventually breaks in time anyway.
Sort of unprofessional. Right or wrong, a public pissing match makes people weary of doing business with a business. I'm not far from Xscream. I've heard nothing but amazing things about Chuckie and will probably br bringing a motor to Team Scream for some porting and a mill someday.
The "slander" about the trim doesn't make me think twice about doing business with Xscream. The public pissing match however worries me as a potential future customer. The words of one man weigh very little on my mind when considering who I do business with. The reply of the man I will someday do business with however, that weighs a lot.
Next time, just ignore him.

By no means is X-Scream a bad company. They offer some very reasonably price options for people and Pat is a PRO RIDER that helps design these parts and supports the sport immensely. He has Stoyer on bored, another pro rider for PR and design and has personally trained some of out other pro riders that were amature level at that point.
And Chucky is a motor head GOD in this business. Devoted to THIS sport not just dabbling in this sport but focusing on others. Pat goes out of his way to support this sport. Its not his money making business, its his passion. I think thats where the WHATEVER attitude might come through. He is by no means getting rich from this industry (FEW ARE).
But at the same time, constructive critisisum and opinions are what this forum is all about.
Calling his parts JUNK is not what this is about.
I never asked for any sort of Warranty nor did i say to anyone that i did. I sent pics to them and asked what a replacement one would cost so i could PAY TO FIX IT and i was told 170$ plus shipping. Bogie is the one that said they were in the christmas spirit and would probably warranty it. These are your words correct
Now back to the carnage.....I bet those guys over at xscream would feel the XmaS spirit, and hook Matt up with a new ring.
I would say its obvious why we wouldn’t warranty it, I was just trying to be nice.
Sounds pretty contradictory to me. I understand your just trying to bring X-metal back into positive spotlight. I never said anything negative about x-metal other then i wouldn't buy another trim system from them.
Jetworks.net , thrustinnovations.com
How did i bash X-metal ? All i said is i would never buy a x-metal trim again, if thats bashing then i think your tea is a little sweet. Also where did you read that i was trying to get the part in question replaced under warranty? Im thinking maybe the water up there is a bit polluted.
This is the Carnage section not the buyer seller feedback section or drive line section or anythings else. Its the when you break YOUR OWN $HIT post it up section.

Thats exactly why I said the original comment was a little harsh to call them morons. Im not taking sides or bashing x-metal in anyway but nobody knows the full story just by reading these posts so Im just imagining being called a a bunch of morons for posting some carnage pics and stating that I wouldnt buy another x-metal trim setup. No trim setup is designed to smash a sandbar so I wouldnt slander x-metal products or their build quality for breaking on a sandbar, I just think some of these comments have been exagerated
