Location:The main Launch (closest to the sand bar) is on the south end of the lake, Near torch riviera and torch river marine.
Not to scale, but you get the idea.
Riding area: Perferred area. However, if boat traffic gets to heavy (boats coming from river onto lake) We will move to the Alternate Riding area in Yellow.
Vwake seciton as of now will be North of the first point.
Map showing two boat launches. The river is Idle only, but has a lot more parking, I would try for the closer launch first. Yellow is just the most common path to the lake (depending on where your coming from)
Here a photo of my wife's Family's boat, the lake is amazing:
PICS from 2009 ride:http://www.x-h2o.com/showthread.php?...ead&highlight=
Tshirts: Were prepaid only, Sorry no extra shirts.
If you ordered a shirt I WILL PASS THEM OUT AT CAMPGROUND FRIDAY NIGHT. If you are not at the campground Friday find me Saturday. I am at the house closest to the launch (im sure you will see me ski). I will dedicate some time to be on the beach there to pass out any remaining shirts.
Disclaimer/other info: This is a FreeRide! Don't expect Daytona Motosurf. Myself and SuperN8 will do the best we can to get everybody as much info as we can for the day, but we are not responsible for you (we want to ride too and enjoy our vacation). I plan on organizing a few different ride sessions throughout the day (single wake, flat water, vwake) with some filming. I will put an actual time on these 3 sessions but that doesn't mean you can't do your own thing. There is no set time or place you have to meet. The riding will take place between south boat launch and sandbar a good place for a break is on the sandbar or the launch, so it will be easy to find other riders. However, this area can have a lot of boat traffic from the river, So we may have to adjust to closer to the shore or farther out away from the main channel. I want everyone to have as much fun as possible and stay safe. Remember to review the wake jumping ed. thread. http://www.x-h2o.com/showthread.php?...t=wake+jumping As of right now, we still have a 150' rule from other boaters so we will work on that it see if we can legally break the rule for boats that are purposely giving us a wake or vwake. Also a Saturday in July at Torch does have some police patrol (mainly on the sandbar). I have been asked for registration before. Some of us are staying up longer than the weekend so lets keep it on good terms with the P.D. Please save the alcohol for after the riding is done. We will have a lot of skis and everyone should be alert at all times. Lets make it go well this year so we can keep this an annual thing.
Count me in!!
Always a good time there!
I knew you two were going!!! We will also have 4-5 couches headed up with us. If we get enough people we might be able to talk one of them to get some video. (the professor at Specs Howard) or maybe T.B. will come out
Anyone else? thoughts, comments, concerns, suggestions?
I know its early. But like i said the major hotels in the area fill up fast. And if we get enough interest we will probably get rolling on Tshirts, video, and all the other logistics.
Also dont forget to vote on the poll so we can get a count!
I'm in!!! Been wanting to go there for quite sometime and this would be a great opportunity to do so, but I would book an entire week there as well, one or two days just isn't enough.

In my group we have 3 stand up riders going for sure maybe 1 more, We also have boats there to make some wakes.
Ill be there the 13-20th. So we can put a date on the ride of the 14th (Saturday). We are staying at a house on the water, close to the launch.
Update: We have at least 3 riders in my group plus some boats. Two others have voted they would attend. If we get enough people I will make the event as organized as possible. If not Ill be there riding either way.
Saturday July 14th will be the event day.
Any question post em up. Reservations need to be done super early if you want to stay on or near the lake, torch is a popular place.
Count me in plus 3 other riders. Always a good time up there

I would Go, and bring a few skis, I have a cabin in harrison on sand lk, about an hour away from torch lk. I could offer up a few couches ( sofas not skis) failor places to sleep. This could be sweet.
Sweet! glad to see we are getting more riders! I think my Brother in Law is gonna be filming that day. My father said he would run us a wake (ski boat), and I should have some one else with a boat to get a V wake. When it gets closer to the event Ill probably call the authorities and see if we can work something out to legally break that 150' rule!
We will probably break the day down into 3 different rides with filming at all of them.
-single boat wake
-Flat water/ride the channel by the sandbar. Lots of boat come through
Then hit the sandbar!
Man, I may have to make it up for this. My Aunt has a place between Lake Bellaire and Torch lake. I'm getting married 2 weeks later, so I'll probably have to get a mini vacation in around that time!
