The worst for me was attempting a sub. I nearly blacked out from the shock of the cold water hitting my head. I took a knee and spun a few circles before I got my witts back. The DNR guy watching from shore got a kick out of it.

I used to make a run every year and try to be on the water the day the ice broke up. Never got a sweet pic pulled up on the ice though.

Spray Foam is awesome if cost is not a concern but rockwool and fiberglass will be perfect in your installation.

I’ve done the spray foam on a couple houses now and was never convinced that it was worth the additional cost. I went back to bat insulation on my current shop and am quite satisfied with how it turned out. I have Hardi-Plank siding with a membrane between it and the OSB sheathing, 2x4 studs...

I’ve got colored tin on order but it won’t be here for another week or two. I’ve also got fireproof blankets to hang in front to keep embers out of the wood.

What does that work out for cost per sq/ft? Mine was around $75K with 1/3rd that cost tied up in the Hardi Plank Siding alone so roughly $75/sq/ft.
