I did it myself, I used aircraft stripper to get all of the powder coating off and then I used a scotchbrite (red) wheel to smooth out the aluminum on the head pipe and then used a polishing wheel and compound to get it to shine. The chamber is real easy to polish once you get the powder coat off since it is stainless.
Are you going to make it back to Tablerock before the season is up?

Hey I apoligize for not getting back to you sooner, I didn't see the messege till this morning. Pull the rails off it looks way better and is way easier to turf! I've done it both ways and off is better and is easier to stick. Padding in the top of the foothold is just personal preference and have done it both ways. I can't really tell a difference on the top. If it were me with your footholds I wouldn't. Your running diggers, right? I'm not really sure to be honest. I know it's a solas due to the stickers on the ski and it's polished but previous owner didn't rember the pitch. I'm probably going to buy a new one over the winter, mines pretty beat up and I want a steeper pitch. Right now it will scream a little over 55 but I don't use it, I just want low end power.

what pitch solas prop do u use? i wanna get some more low end pop outta my ski for jumping yacht/barge waves......thanks
