Me too. I talked with Jeff c. About a better ignition for it he has them. I was told by someone running the 927 that it needs the ignition.

Also, where do I get the thick pads for the pipe to lay down on?

Ok well I am waiting on a few small fittings from amazon to be delivered and then the ski will be ready to test ride.

Replacing some hose clamps, and adding y fittings for the water and fuel return line.

If all goes moderately well I will re-turf my waterbox and change out the impeller. (In a month or 2)

I have a 11/xx pitch in it right now. Just what I had. I Have to balance costs on debt reduction, building this ski, building my 4x4 and my race car.

Do you guys run pole springs????

Definitely don't run a pole spring. Running the pole tight will provide much needed back support and prevent fatigue and make riding easier...

Well it made it outside for the first time I brought it home. Prepped in the carport for its first dip in the river tomorrow.

Nice! I am just getting mine back together after switching to zeeltronics. I hope I can get out this weekend too. I think you are going to love it. Its going to be awesome with that engine.

I am thinking of going that route as well. Great thread on it. I'd like to hear how the ignition made a difference, or not.

Kind of regretting selling thay ski now that I see it all together again. Let us know what your first impressions are.

She is a good looking ski, well sort of. I need to turf the chin pad, maybe switch out the tubes to black or green... take off the Idaho stickers lol

Ok, well.... the first ride went differently than I had expected.

I probably shouldn't post this, but you guys did help me alot so I put some of this blame on you. LOL.

I start the ski on the trailer, idles good. Pushing water through the pissers. Let it come up to temp for a few minutes.

All seems well. Except the water is high 40s and we have a nice "breeze".
I decided to go for it. Start out and make it 20 feet
Before I fall. I Pulled the ski nose high and sink the back end. No worries it's still running. Start out and go to pull my fat ass up and.... the hand pole comes out of the lower bracket. Ski is pinned wide open. I go off the back and it takes off. I can do nothing but float there and watch hoping it doesn't hit someone, a boat, the launch ramp.... all of those thoughts.

A few seconds later the ski is upside down, maybe 20 yards from me. It dies.
I swim to it as it is sinking. i call to my fiance to grab her ski. I get to my ski and luckily the water is only 4' deep there. I flip the right way up, let the bilge ( I almost didnt put in) do its thing and wait.

She was filming this whole thing... I may try to post the video later.

Got it home and give it the once over so far I need to shorten the poles, replace the finger throttle, the cable tore out of it and damaged the threads, the start stop switch was hurt, the connectors for the kill side were pulled out and when plugged back in it has no spark. I un-plug and it fires right up.

So I am assuming I must screw the poles to the base , is this a thing? Does everyone do it?

Might be missing parts of the story, but at dinner with family right now.
