Super Jet SN build, Rocker, Chopped rear, this website made me do it!

I have not bought any carbon cloth yet, money is kinda tight right now with building a garage. Just got the walls framed up this weekend. I was working on the bottom of the ski a lot last week aswell as getting the inside of the hood closer so that when I do get carbon cloth it will be ready to try some carbon inside it. I’m almost ready to add some of the last glass cloth on the inside of the hull nose area and the outside of the hull in the pole breached area. After glassing those two spots up just lots of sanding and I’ll add carbon in a few spots.3B95356D-63DB-4899-941E-97EE3D5DC7EB.jpeg

Been a while since I made a post here, I have not forgotten about my ski and it will get finished. Since I started working on my garage a little while ago I have not had time or money to work on the ski. I’m going to try to make some time here soon to get at it. I did order 10meters of carbon cloth so I’m excited to add some of the to the ski in the near future along with possibly one last hill change...92770785-43C9-46E0-B7E8-85D02AFE90CB.jpegAB7407DC-5354-4A3C-AB2D-D2AABB70AFA5.jpegF7A18E3A-06F3-4E00-AC35-D9DEFE3578A4.jpeg

Been a while since I did a update, this thread is not dead and this ski will get done one day! Life has been hella busy lately, my wife is due for our second kid, the due date was 5 days ago, so could be any minute now. Anyhow here is a little update on the ski, I have not touched any glass work in months, I started on the motor but was building it at my works shop and realized I had half my gaskets at home so never finished, and got a 46mm carb now rather than the 44mm I was gonna run, fully rebuilt and pumped the 46! That’s a real brief update of what going on, here the good part, some photos.E46617FC-72F0-4B98-8D03-957A9D217D86.jpeg867F7C1C-7682-4051-887F-939D91C809A3.jpeg0639384F-F1ED-4B64-AE8D-3B429C8331E7.jpeg
So that’s how far the motor is, running a new rebuilt sbt crank, on fully ported and epoxied 61x cases with new gaskets. Pistons are wsm platinum 1mm over bore. More motor pics to come soon...

And for the carb. Originally I needed a carb and kept an eye out and found a 44mm for a ok price and was going to run it. Now that it’s been about 2.5 years of building this ski and collecting parts I finally came across a deal on a 46mm that was missing a few parts and needed a rebuild and it was perfect for what I needed. So here it is. Fully rebuilt sbn 46mm with a full mikuni rebuild kit, jetted to 120 pilot, 150 main, 2.5 n\S and pop of is yet to be tested. Also running a brand new full stainless hardware kit, as well as a freeride industries throttle wheel, powdercoated front and rear carb covers, and a blowsion tornado flame arrestor. She looks pretty deadly I think.189AF65A-9144-41E3-A28A-45ACF5FAEB25.jpegA78C6E8F-6D05-40E2-B890-8BDB0E84AB74.jpeg16924919-32E9-4308-B5BE-64DF38AC1047.jpegBE8A32DD-0296-4E70-9014-48AA84A6D1F4.jpeg0CB8A85A-43F1-47F4-B471-9D6E2D65CE36.jpegF4C9B131-9F2C-4343-9264-AE25D611D57E.jpeg7BED6F03-704B-4875-8CD0-F46BDB352135.jpeg23B8602D-96AB-4F7B-AE95-B4CEE3B39618.jpegFEF7BD8C-9159-43A9-BEA6-D6DB1B3404B2.jpegAC437B90-006F-4489-84D4-DC3A914BB15B.jpeg

After probably a year and a half of owning a pump I finally started to pull it all apart and see what pitch prop I have is, turns out it’s a skat 13/17 swirl. I’m thinking while it’s all apart I may aswell get a rebuild kit and not have to touch it again for a while.63E5D872-CDAC-41AF-A187-4735D57580E6.jpeg5BB0B98B-4541-40CE-B359-EAE5E01E27FB.jpeg3A18CEAE-769B-4815-A046-8309B50397D5.jpeg840F24D5-1302-4928-AA5F-CB9F3B07C7A2.jpeg39F07241-0E62-464E-B54F-BD8953879A6C.jpeg5F36F6F8-B26F-4006-96A9-9E13E6946986.jpeg

Super quick update here today, just had my second child, born on the 24th. We now have ourselves a baby boy and a 2 year old girl to keep us busy. Today I had a few minutes to myself while everyone was taking a nap, so here’s what I did, since the pump was pretty much apart I figured I may aswell go all the way with it. I pulled the stator off the shaft and removed all bearings. Now that it’s off I’m going to “blueprint” the pump cause it has so horrible casting marks which I would think would majorly hinder performance. And yes the shop press is in my basement!8E891345-79D1-4BD2-85B3-F16C8A81ECA0.jpeg4956FF0F-E928-42BF-B407-106D3CAEC2D4.jpegF324309A-D0B9-42E6-8B37-4FACB51273E3.jpegEDCA12E9-E1B2-4F81-8E80-4C9D9457727E.jpeg

Picked up a used thrust steering for this bad boy today from my sponsor, you know who you are haha. Had to do a quick bolt up to see about where my bars will sit. Here are pics with the pole all the way in and all the way out. She’s going to be nice and short. Yes it’s not blue but for the price I couldn’t say no. It will work till I can afford a blue ovp style one down the road.E0BAC439-83F8-4650-A3C0-0711205B37DD.jpeg80E02D14-9A51-47A6-8643-551E72C0289E.jpegE0BAC439-83F8-4650-A3C0-0711205B37DD.jpeg80E02D14-9A51-47A6-8643-551E72C0289E.jpeg
