S2'S SN

So I have had this ski for about 2 years now. When I bought it came with a 61x and foot holds, and a nasty back fire. Before I ever rode it i bought a MSD enhancer and lightened flywheel to try to fix the back fire. And while I was replacing that and had the exhaust most the way off I picked up a mod b-pipe for it and a h2o water box as well. And when I was taking off the exhaust manifold off i found out the bottom bolts were not tight so I fixed the back fire. When I took it out for the first ride it ran ok and it was fun. So I started adding parts for an AM hull swap.

What I got So far;
-Beat up 91 SN with:
-Blowsion foot holds and turf
-RN Handel pole about 3in shorter than stock, hazard bracket, blowsion steering and levers
-stock 61x with ADA 35cc domes, MSD and lightened flywheel, mod b-pipe, h2o water box, flow valve, Boysen reeds, stock 44 carb
-h2o designs tank with cool guy light weight battery
-solas 148 pump with EZ pull trim and work 201 intake grate

And now I am in the process of fixing it from the last Pismo free ride. I am working on the 4" chop in the back and fixing the pole again. I ordered some stuff from US Composites that should be here by Friday should be a fun weekend trying to learn how to fiberglass. I know its a long shoot but Hope to have it done by next weekend for a Pismo trip, so I can break it again. Any help along the way would be awesome

Here are some better pictures of the back that's getting chopped. And another crack in the hull that has been getting worse over the years

I did some more stuff today. Took another 1/2 off the pole, made some backing plates so I can use some bolts instead of rivits. So now pivot to pivot is close to 33".

Not to much new. I have learned that fiberglass work is not fun. But figuring it out, have to touch up a few spots and hope to start putting it back together this weekend

Got the last layer of the thick epoxy on. Sand it one more good time then some white paint for the whole bottom. Any suggestions on a good rattle can paint? Also got the handel pole back together. 20180518_222924.jpg20180518_222916.jpg

Still in the same spot with the hull and fiberglass work. I almost forgot about my tattoo appointment today so I am another day behind on that beauty of a disaster. Butbi did tear into the ebox and found a bunch of water in it, so I f...ed that up. It even might be part of the miss that I have been fighting.20180521_222651.jpg20180521_212646.jpg

Well it's out on the water again. I like the way it rides. It seems to spin a little faster than it use to. But still not sure what to do with the ride plate. Should I leave it stock, D cut it, or cut in shorter? Any ideas or input would be awesome.

I also advanced the timing and switched out the mounts for couch mounts (two were bad), and a new starter relay. I really enjoy the 148 it's makes it so fun to ride

Sweet thank you. I guess it came out good as I could ask for at 2am and a 30 pack of beer. I just used a dremel tool and took down the lip till it was smooth by touch then smeared the silicone from the pump ring to fill it in better. Only had to test fit the pump about 40 times

Thank you. Its defiantly not show quality but from 20 feet away it looks good. The worse of it is above the exhaust but can't see it unless it's upside down

Going to cut my ride plate down for this weekend. Think I am going to go with the longer marks, I can always tale more off. Let me know if I should change it?

Picked up a one ski trailer yesterday morning and decided to make it in to a two ski trailer. Had it just about to hook it up to the truck and it had a flat, aired it up, and went flat instantly. Aired to up again and it held air. Didn't want to risk it so we just took my ski in the truck and went to the lake. Ski runs good still but can be better. Need to redo all the water lines I think one of them on the manifold has a crack in it and is where the smoke is coming from. The water was cold but was nice. Had a few bad offs and jacked my thumb, got a softball size bruise on my leg, and a bloody shin. But all and all it was fun.

Good your all right!

Buddy has a trailer like that with all those holes for adjustment, but 2 place and 2 uprights. Very adjustable..... Can you add another upright for an additional bow stop ?

So I think the ski runs good. But I need help making it run better. So tonight I spent some time it figure out where I am at. Any of the numbers close? Or am I way out in left field. I am sure I read that there were good on someone's ski somewhere when I was putting it all together foe the last few years. So let me know. And I ride between 1500 and 3000 feet in cold water all year long. And I did the timing advance with the flywheel.

Thank you for any input

Can't comment on your carb settings. On your pipe setting, you might close one of the open 2 off, just leave one open like it. Check pipe chamber temp after a few minutes of riding.
