Rip Curl sucks.

Bought a dawn patrol 4/3 wetsuit spring of 2013 and have only used it 20 or so times. I take excellent care of it. Last weekend while putting it on one of the seems tore. I emailed them to see if anything could be done about it sine I haven't even had it for two years. To be honest, I thought they would say that at best I only have a one year manufacturing warrantee but thought I could work something out as far as a discount on another purchase or something since most companies want to keep a good reputation with their customers. Anyways, what I received instead was this email (below). They didn't even read my email.... Oh well. I responded that my problem was with a wet suit and not a watch but now they are just ignoring me. I would have even appreciate an email saying "I'm sorry for your experience but there isn't anything we can do right now." I'll buy from another company from now on. Just thought I would pass it on so that we can all support companies who go above and beyond with customer service instead of those that skate by with the bare minimum.

Ya. Don't get me wrong, I'm well outside the warrantee period so I wasn't expecting them to bend over backwards for me, but I have been in the same situation other times with companies who at least acknowledged a bad experienced and tried to make up for it even in small ways. For Rip Curl to not even read my email, nor respond when I corrected their mistake was a bit disappointing. They still may not be a bad company but when possible I prefer to give my business to those who go above and beyond.

You're right I should call. I'll probably do that tomorrow. However, they also could have replied when I told them my email titled "wetsuit" was about a wetsuit and not a watch lol. Instead they've just been ignoring me.

Maybe the word watch is a typo on their part. Ya not good they didn't respond when you pointed it out... Not sure where you live or if your near a coastal surf area but wetsuits can be repaired. You can call a surf shop and find out who's doing repairs, it's cheap
