Octane losing spark

I have a 2003 Octane that I picked up non running. The previous owner had said it started to not run right and he thought it was the carbs. Long story short I went through the carbs and fixed some known issues.

Get it all back together, it fires right up once primed. Head to the lake, no fire. No spark.

If I do have spark it is very very weak...then it completely drops out if/when the ski does fire.

Any ideas? I picked up a spare Watcon programmed CDI and it did the exact same thing..fired up just enough to blow a few puffs of smoke out the exhaust and then no spark.

To add some more details:

I have tried multiple batteries and confirmed my voltage was high enough.

There is a second switch mounted on the handlebars that is unhooked. Any idea what it is? Looks identical to the start switch. This ski was apparently raced at one point judging by the Havasu sticker..maybe a holeshot switch? This second switch is a momentary switch..it does not stay on when you let off...just like the start switch.

Bilge pump wiring is rigged and currently unhooked. I don't see how this could have any effect on the charging charging/ignition system, but I don't put anything past polaris.

I have used multiple batteries and verified over 12v. My first battery was dipping down pretty low so I initially thought that was the issue.

I'm going to test the stator again today to make sure I didn't miss something.

I had trouble with losing power after running for a while. Eventually found corrosion in the 8 pin connector between the stator and the electrical box. I removed the connector and made good quality splice in its place. I have not had a electrical problem with it since. I guess I am saying take the connector apart and inspect it closely. Your problem could be there.

Checked all connections and checked resistance , replaced: stator, chi, coil and regulator still no spark checked thether switch ok? Driving me nuts battery fully charged and even added jumper battery....any ideas

I just came across this and wanted to post a follow up.

It was my stator. I replaced the CDI thinking it was it, and the issue was still present. Finally swapped out the stator and it fired right up. She will probably be for sale soon so I can use the money on a new Side by Side(polaris general im thinking)
