EVERYONE please come in and make yourself at home and most importantly SUBSCRIBE to this thread so you can receive updates on rides, events and anything Jet ski related in the NORCAL area. Whether you Live or will be visiting the NORCAL area let us know. Anything you do on top of a Jet Ski....Flat water, Surf, Wake chasing, Buoys, whatever....we dig it!

We ride all year long and like to keep things interesting.

    1. Pittsburg Marina

51 Marina Boulevard Pittsburg, CA 94565

    This is their website:
    http://www.pittsburgmarina.com/pittsburg/marina/

This is the Launch area and it's FREE:

The RED circle is the Launch Pier.
The GREEN Circle is all game as also are the sloughs in the GREEN Square.
The YELLOW lines show the path of the Yachts that come out every 30 minutes or so.

This is a Cool Fresh water spot. Sometimes is windy and choppy, others glassy. You can have a lot of fun if you like jumping boat wake. There are huge Yachts that come out of the adjacent marinas. There is a beach by the Antioch Marina launch ramp, we hang out there sometimes waiting for the Yachts to come and chase them all the way to Pittsburg.
This is a Fun place and having a FREE launch ramp makes it worth the drive.

We usually hit this inexpensive Mexican Restaurant around the Marina.
    It's called New Mecca:

    ========================================================================================

    2. Jack London Square
    aka "Ski Beach"

    115 Embarcadero E Oakland, CA 94606

This is the Launch Ramp and is FREE:

The RED circle is the Launch Pier.
The YELLOW RIGHT leads towards the Bay and "ski beach". Great views of the Bay bridge and Golden Gate Bridge.
Water gets choppy at the entrance of the canal and you may get a Tug boat or two if you are lucky.
The YELLOW LEFT leads towards the Coast Guard Island and the canal connecting to the San Leandro Bay.....glassy waters !

This is a Salt water spot. There are ferries that come out of Alameda and go back and forth to Pier 39 in SF and they are great to chase......stay back 100 feet !!!

This is the Location of "Ski Beach"....

Famously known is the Banana Boat for its huge wake:

Usually after riding we hit Park Avenue in the Alameda which is full of restaurants. This one is a great Taqueria:
    http://www.yelp.com/biz/taqueria-ramiro-and-sons-alameda

    ==========================================================================================

    3. Vallejo Marina

91 curtola Pkwy Vallejo CA 94590

This is the Launch Ramp and is FREE:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...52,-122.258059&spn=0.002959,0.004742&t=h&z=18

I found a video online that shows the Ramp.
    http://www.boataccess.com/central_california/solano/vallejo_boat_ramp_video.htm

The RED circle is the Launch Pier.
The GREEN Circle is an area that has sloughs, water is glassy there...Racing !!!!
The YELLOW arrows show the canal and is all game. There is Traffic in this area as Yachts, Boats and Ferries go in and out constantly.

Remember to stay away 100 feet from any Boat's wake.....Be safe!

    ===================================================================================

    4. San Leandro Marina

13646 Monarch Bay Dr San Leandro, CA 94577

This is the Launch Ramp and it's FREE:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...57,-122.187994&spn=0.001494,0.002371&t=h&z=19

The RED circle is the Launch Ramp.
The GREEN square a nice lagoon with glassy water.
The YELLOW arrows is all Game

This is a Salt water spot.
It is a cool spot specially the tiny Lagoon if you have a powerful ski and want to practice some freestyle tricks off your own wake.
You can do some riding going outside the protected Marina but Boats are non-existent so no Wake jumping...
I would go here Mid week just to get a quick fix and my ski wet....LOL!
There is a park right next to the Lagoon to BBQ and that makes it a PLUS for a day out with the Family and taking your ski for a ride while flipping Hamburgers....

    6. Pismo Beach

Although this is not a NORCAL area spot I am including it here as we go down there a lot and perhaps someone in the NORCAL area needs some info before heading there.

This is the drive from the bay area:

This is the entrance to the beach at Grand Avenue and the ranger’s shack.
    http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie...63291139237924

This is the entrance to the beach at Pier Avenue and the ranger’s shack.
    http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&i...105592,-120.630291&spn=0.000474,0.001687&z=19

You can ride anywhere south of the Grand Avenue entrance but usually the locals ride just about 100 yards south from the Ranger's shack entrance.

Freeride events are usually located way down south where all the RV's are camping.

    Some VERY useful info here:
    http://www.x-h2o.com/showthread.php?77227-Info-For-the-Pismo-Virgin

This is the Coin car wash you can wash your skis after you are done for the day and heading back

    7. The Delta

This is by Far the most popular place for Boating and Jet skiing activities in California.

You can read more about it here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramento_–_San_Joaquin_River_Delta

There are so many places to launch from, I will add them as I visit each one of them.

    A. Orwood Resort

4451 Orwood Rd, Brentwood, CA 94513
    http://www.orwoodresort.com/

    Launch is $10
NO LAUNCHING FROM TRUCK (Save yourself the headache)

    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...13,-121.611515&spn=0.000746,0.001695&t=h&z=20

    B. Lazy M Marina

    C. Windmill Cove

7600 Windmill Cove Road Stockton, CA 95206
    http://www.windmillcove.com/

    Launch is $10
    Truck Friendly

    http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&s...928,-121.408952&spn=0.001437,0.00339&t=h&z=19

This is by far MY FAVORITE spot of the Delta. Launching at Windmill cove puts you in the heart of what is called the "Deep water channel", this is where you will see Huge Yachts going in and out.

Big Yachts = Big Wake = Big Air

    8. Miller Park, Sacramento

    Some great info here:
    http://www.sacramentoriver.org/access_site.php?access_site_id=190

    and here:
    http://www.cityofsacramento.org/parksandrecreation/parks/sites/miller_map.htm

There is a $8.00 fee to launch that you paid at a machine that takes Credit cards or CASH.
The Machine DOES NOT GIVE YOU CHANGE so make sure you have the exact amount of cash with you.

This is a great spot to come hang out with your Crew....or family.
There is a beach area to the left side of the Launch Ramp, by the trees, where you can set up your gig and relax.
Your Boats can just chill by the shore waiting for those Big Yachts throwing wake.
You can also venture into Old Sacto by the river.

There's at least a dozen spots to ride in and around Sacramento, but the most popular by far is Miller Park. There's usually a dozen or more stand ups out every weekend.

Some people divide California into 3 areas, North, Central and South. There is also the Valley areas which is you and surroundings areas. I am pretty sure there are more but 3 would be the simplest way to divide it. I guess that makes you a Norcal guy...:dunno:

They do connect but the water flows from different areas...
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramento_River

What do you mean by "noice"?
