View attachment 323135 I didn't take any pictures of the install but here's my take on it.

I have run rrp fatbar system with bushings instead of bearings for a few years now with no issues and nothing but satisfaction. I wanted to make the switch to OVP and I was talking with brian at thrust. He swore up and down that this is the best steering I would ever run so I took a chance.

My only complaint is that I didn't do this sooner! The steering system is like a Rolex watch movement. It's almost to smooth it's crazy. The way the bearing system works is genius. After seeing EVERYONE else's steering systems I can tell this truly will be maintenance free. So stoked!

Good to hear on the bearings, but confused because it is not an OVP system?

Chris I know what ovp is lol I should have specified he talked me out of it and said try my system first and see what you think.

I know this thread is a little old but just purchased this and was wondering how you centered the system in the opening of the pole to drill the 4 holes? tough to measure because of all the radius's.

I hate eyeballing stuff

I didn't like eyeballing ether. But if you think about it your only eyeballing front to back. Left to right can be measured.

Got it all mounted up and wow this things awesome. So smooth. Also got just the right amount of throw so I can snap 180's/ break the ski loose when I want. Highly recommend this product.

Did you change out steering cable to the 96-07 cable for more throw yet?

Not yet. I have the steering ball stud mounted in the inner position and it works fine. Imo, it is not needed.

looks good! Just in case you didn't know. You can still set in a little drag so it's not to free to turn and it's still silky smooth. Best steering on the market. Set and forget about it. No maintenance required just remember to lock the set screw with a little thread lock.

Oh dang, I need to do that. It came greased so I left it like that. Does have a nylock nut so not sure. You use blue or red loctite?
