Riding MTB's should be difficult. Just like riding a standup jetski. Not everyone can do it. That's why they invented couches.

E Bikes are for people who want to experience MTB's, but either can't or won't put in the effort to go play on a mountain.

Just buy a moped. At least it's an honest expression.

I just don't get the appeal. If I feel like pedaling, I ride my MTB. If I don't feel like pedaling I ride my Motorcycles.

To me an E-Bike seem like both a sh!tty MTB (because added weight) and a sh!tty motorcycle (because not that powerful).

I don't know man I think I see this way different....1...it is a Yamaha. 2....I would ride this the same way I tear it up now! The E in my mind would be rarely used.

I have never ridden a E bike so I have no idea though....

all an ebike is, is a motorized assisted bike. You dont twist a throttle and it just starts moving........
You have to pedal. the motor helps with the force applied to the pedals.

That's a load of HorseSh*t, BK. Yes, you engage the motor by turning the cranks. But, it's really no effort at all. A chimpanzee with one leg, could get an ebike up a very steep grade. And therein lies the problem. On trails that are primarily downhill oriented... you have riders with a limited skillset, completely in over their heads, ascending at speed, up a trail. Add in a blind corner and you have instant head on collision potential.

Other trail users such as hikers and equestrians have for years been opposed to us on trails. They(Sierra Club), lobby hard with deep pockets to close what few good trails we have here in the west. EBikes and their inherent conflict potential, only adds fuel to the fire.

It seems like some E coming out of the valley of a pump track could be fun! I guess it would depend on where it hits!

Full throttle out of the pump and clear the next!!??
