Anybody have one?
LOL these things look like super fun. Although I believe they got banned because of all the injuries. Good luck finding one though
Looks like fun. Not sure I wanna try it.

Look for flying tube.
i have one :shhh:
came with my boat. let a friend use it once and he cracked a rib..lol. they are awesome
i could probably get my hands on one too...lmk
I'd be interested in getting my hands on 1 as well.
the second two videos are insane!
no freaking way would you get me on one of those!
Got a kite tube for sale hasn't been used in over a year. Still holds air like brand new and comes with the original 65' ajustable legnth tow rope (also hard to find). no dvd tho. i can air it up and take pic's upon request asking $600 plus shipping (US only). Its awsome but dangerous and i will assume no responsibility for injury from use!!!
you wont ship to canada?
LMAO!! I watched a show about these a few years ago.
I'm surprised more people, myself included, didn't die on the Kite-Tube. It's virtually impossible to control and keep from dive-bombing. You gotta make like 40mph of wind to get it airborne, but then if you take it just a hair too fast, it goes to the moon, then it flips, then you die.
The third video is the "Manta-Ray." It's way more aerodynamic than the flying saucer that is the "Kite-Tube", that's why the guy can fly forty feet up and control it, I want that one.
This one looks like the safest to fly that I have seen yet. It looks like it has three attachment points on the tube, harnessed together into the tow-line, which appears to make it way more stable.
There are seven Manta Ray's on Ebay right now
yes i'm willing to ship to canada but its going to be expensive it it weights about 70lbs
I have flown all three. there is almost no control by the rider in any of the flying towables. they will all dive and roll this happens for two reasons. first the driver of the boat is not keeping the boat speed under control. the driver has %100 control of how high the tubes go and how fast they fall. the next reason and the more dangerous one is the wind. to keep them from sudden roll over you have to think like a pilot. would you fly a any light aircraft on a day with 65mph gusting winds? i think not unless you have a death wish. they can be flown somewhat safely but people especally the ones you see flying 50 feet in the air and then crashing took no caution. only fly on calm days with little to no wind and trust your driver as he is the real one responsable for all the riders taking a 50' falls. That being said the wego is the best of the 3 for 2 reasons it has a clear bottom window which allows you to see especally when flying high and it is not proan to taco up like a manta ray. the manta ray has about 10 mins of usable time befor you have to air it up again where the wego will fly even as it deflates. which will happen quickly on hot days with cold water. Plus the kite tube is acutally more areodynamic it generates much more lift then the manta ray. allowing you to get it upinto the air with less boat power. they are equal in controlability reguardless of how they look it just takes a lot more to get the manta ray 50' up.water sled is cool too but dont let the 3 lines fool you it will roll just the same. and is super long and even more bulky then the wego. plus you cant see the water its like flying blind. lastly the wego looks the coolest covered in skulls and warnings. manta ray riders look like they are mounting a flying sea creature. i saw a video of myself on a manta ray and desided out of pride id stay off them.
if the wego is the most stable of the bunch then I think I shall refrain from any further flying tube use, because I wouldn't even loosely call the kite-tube stable.
But yes, you are absolutely spot on in your observations about the drivers and winds affect on the tubes flight. Gusty winds are no good, which is a shame, because if you could fly into a steady 20mph headwind you would fly super easy and be relatively safe since you aren't going to fast. On a calm day you need to get up to like 35-40mph boat speed to get any decent air, and any gusts at that speed are catastrophic.
i am a new member and i have a kite tube i would like to get some of my money back on if anyone is interested in buying one still i live near birmingham, al and willing to ship it i would like to get around $600 i think i have $1200+ in it i have the rope and i think i have blown it up 2 times its in perfect or new condition my cell phone is 205-365-6309
Those things are crazy. My best friends cousin died on one about a year and a half ago. I'm thankful that was the only trip I didn't go with them on that year. They just roll over and dive straight into the water with very little warning. Almost anybody who has ridden one will tell you that it's cool while your up there but when it comes down itll hurt you. Not trying to discourage anyone from buying one, just saying. Be safe.
