Intake Grate Housing Replacement?

2017 SJ.

Long story short, I've been out jumping waves for the past week. Came off a jump on Saturday and heard a smack underneath my ski. Jumped off to check the grate and noticed it was hanging off from the back. Pulled up to shore and noticed it's only being held on by the front screws. The "plastic housing" in the back snapped in the middle which has the grate hanging off. Screws are still seated in the hanging piece. I checked some OEM sites and it seems like there isn't a replacement for this? Tell me the hull can't be repaired and I'll order my AM hull :D

Any help is appreciated.

I had the same thing happen (pre-08 hull), got the Worx and it fit like a glove.

For a clean install w the sealant use masking tape - like painting a wall and getting a clean line... Works great if you take a few min and tape it good.

I appreciate the insight. I haven't had time to get under the ski to figure things out.

How many beers is it going to take to replace this part? Seems like I'll have to take quite a few parts off?

If memory serves well, I'd estimated to be a 3 beer project. Not that hard but maybe a little time consuming. You'll have to pull the pump off and take the old shoe off and clean the area really well which is what takes the most time.
You'll be using a sealant like 3M 4200 seal the new shoe in place. Trick that I learned from somebody else was too dry fit the new shoe in place and use a Sharpie marker outline around it on the hull. Then with the shoe out of the way use painters tape and tape along the outside edges of your lines. Then when you go to seal it in you can be a little messy with the sealant, wet your fingers when working with it. After you get it into place and bolted in and have your sealant smooth out along all the edges then pull the tape while the sealant is still wet.
I had read about a lot of various fitment issues with different aftermarket shoes, the consensus seems to be that the worx had the best fit without requiring any grinding for modification to make it fit right. Other folks may be able to give you different opinions

I think you are looking for a pump shoe.
ProWatercraft sells replacement pump shoes. They are made out of the HFC material, with a hydrophobic finish on it. We've seen some skis get a small 1/2 mph speed increase with his shoe, but it also isn't too hard of an installation process... Also, if for some reason it breaks again (unlikely) we offer free lifetime warranties on it.
