@hydrostyler is very knowledgeable and makes probably the lightest hull ever ridden. Very good at pulling his numbers. Good dude, knows what he’s talking about on occasion.

Thanks Jeff. Just poking fun at you. You build some really cool stuff as well. Always pushing the creativity envelope.

Something like this. Notice the flow material is slightly smaller than the rest of the lay-up.

So , A lot of stuff was under the christmas tree, so missing one thing ......a vaccum leak detector ,
What model did you use ? I m gone on web , and saw a lot of model, some cheaper, some very expensive .....
Is it better to use rigid or vinyl tubbing for the vaccum and resin line ?

Thanks for’your help

I just use my ear and run around the bag and watch the gauge. A leak detector would be great lol, didn't know they had such a tool.

I bought a unit from jb industries that was fairly affordable. Around $150 USD. I used it a few times, but after I switched to the heavier (non stretch)vac bags, I honestly haven't had a leak that I couldn't find right away without it. I use a more rigid hose for the vacuum side. The inlet tube can be flexible and it's actually easier to pinch off if it is. If you have any further questions, let us know.

Merry Christmas to all.

I ll go to check on JB industries
And for heavier bag

Its what I want to do , rigid for vaccum side and flexible for inlet side . OK for next part

Its what I ve done, but without success, I ve good ear , but this time couldn’t fine the leak......she s very very small, I check the bag , tape, each corner......I live in moutain, no outside noise except bird and water fall from my pool ahahahaha, on otherside , and sometime vaccum pump ahahahaha.

Thanks for all tips

merry Christmas back. Lots of info in this pick. So the first infusion only went so far before pot gelled. So as far as speeds and gels go. Note to self you can re infuse same part after it kicks. This was my last part I made. I like a fast kick but damn 7 minute pot was too fast
